Draco POV
My mothers hand holds mine as I creep on to the already crowded platform. I take in the smell of books as I look around for anyone familiar.
"There's Crabbe and Goyle's sons". My mother points out two very chubby and oblivious looking boys from across the platform. I walk with my mother as she struts over to the two boys. They spot me and as I get closer and I introduce myself.
"Malfoy. Draco Malfoy", I say as to answer their questioning looks. They nod and introduce themselves, although I already know who they are. The one named Crabbe is shorter and very round at the middle. He looks as though he would eat anything put in front of him. The Goyle boy is taller and more muscular than Crabbe. He clearly still had baby fat that is obvious in his face and hands. I look around for other options, but they seem content with the three of us, and so together we find a compartment towards the back and begin talking. They're very oblivious, so I soon get lost in my thoughts. My father told me that I should make friends, but these two seem like idiots.  I secretly hope to myself that I befriend someone more intelligent in the next 7 years. As the train gets closer to Hogwarts, I state "I'm going to get dressed" and leave without noticing if they registered what I said or not. I head to the bathroom and open the door. The walls are a pale yellow, and I choose a stall towards the back. I lock the door and begin  changing out of my clothes and into my brand new robes until I hear someone enter from outside.
"... four houses. Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. My entire family's been in Gryffindor, so I'm bound to get into there. I really hope you're in Gryffindor with me. As long as you aren't in Slytherin it'll be alright. I mean everyone knows that all the evil people end up in that house."
I think about that silently and start battling the comment in my head. I exit my stall with a snide remark ready and find myself face to face with some Weasley (it's obvious by his hair and clothes) and another boy who I recognize as the infamous Harry Potter. I was about to comment about Weasley's rude remark about Slytherin house, but I find myself staring into Harry Potter's eyes. They were bright green, and a perfect almond shape. Hints of hazel creep into the corners of his eyes and they feel so kind and comforting.
Snap out of it! I think to myself. I realize that I'm staring and so I smirk and walk out of the bathroom. What am I thinking! I'm a straight pure blood. I cannot be distracted by beautiful green eyes... God! I have to live up to my father's standards. I continue walking out of the bathroom and climb back into my compartment. Crabbe and Goyle seemed to have changes while I was away, and so I take my seat across from them. I begin staring out of my window when I hear my name and snap back to reality. Crabbe and Goyle are looking at me expectantly, so they must have asked a question.
"What did you ask?" I say, and Crabbe repeats his question.
"What house do you want to be in?" I look at Crabbe for a second before replying
"Obviously Slytherin. All great wizards are put in that house. Both my parents were in that house, so I am sure to get in. I wish I knew how it was chosen though. My parents wouldn't tell me." Crabbe and Goyle seemed shocked that I said so much. I had basically been quiet the whole train ride, so I'm not surprised.
"Slytherin's my choice too" Crabbe replies. Crabbe responds with simply a nod. The train ride is silent until we reach Hogwarts.

Harry POV
"That was weird" Ron says after the blonde boy leaves the bathroom.
"Yeah" I reply "What's his name?" I ask. He was strange and yet mysterious in a good way.
"Draco Malfoy." Ron replies as he enters a stall. I take the one next to him and he continues, "He's some stuck up pureblood. My dad works with his dad at the ministry."
"What's a pureblood? Or the ministry? Ministry of what?" Ron chuckles at my lack of knowledge and responds.
"A pureblood is someone who has two wizard parents. Some pureblood families believe that they are somehow superior to other families. It's a really stupid idea. Anyway, the ministry is actually the Ministry of Magic.  It's the wizard uhh government thingy, and my dad works in the department that studies muggles. You know what muggles are right?"
"Yeah, Hagrif explained them to me" I reply. And with that we finish changing as Ron recounts some time that his brothers pulled a prank on him. Secretly to myself, I think about this supposedly stuck up boy. He didn't seem stuck up to me, but I trust Ron's opinion. Ron and I walk back to our compartment as the train slows and Hogwarts approaches.
