~General P.O.V.~

It had been about two months since Levy showed up in that hospital room and she made a home of Fairy Tail. She and Lucy had became fast friends and she had gotten herself two fanboys: Jet and Droy. The boys were infatuated with levy but she didn't really mind. Levy spent hours in the library reading and learning new languages. She loved being with Master and Mira whenever she volunteered, too. Little did she know, her life was about to change.

A young boy with crimson eyes and jet black hair limped into Magnolia at day break. He also held the hand of a girl with dark blue curly hair and dark, navy blue eyes. The boy had three studs above each eye, three down each side of his nose, and two down his chin. He also had several down his arms and in his ears. He had deeps cuts all over his arms and a misshapen knee. One of his eyes was swollen shut but he still trekked on, glaring at anyone in his way. All in all, this child was frightening, and he looked like he would beat anyone who touched him or the girl.

He made his way through the town, clutching the hand of the girl that looked in,y a year younger than him. He finally stopped when he stood in front of two giant doors that read Fairy Tail. He pushed them open with his shoulder and stepped inside. "MOKAROV!" Everyone stopped and stared at the newcomers. The Master turned around on the barstool and when he saw the boy and toddler, his eyes grew as large as saucers. "Gajeel! What happened to you? Why do you have Juvia?" Mirajane ran to them with concern in her eyes and caught the boy right before he fell from exhaustion. She herded the two children inside while the other kids whispered and worried.

I stared at the boy as Mira carried him in along with the girl that looked about a year older than me. "Lu-chan, who is that?" Lu-chan looked just as concerned as Miss Mirajane. "That's Gajeel Redfox and Juvia Locksar. Master has been trying to get them to come to Fairy Tail for years now." I turned to look back at the boy and when I looked at him, we locked eyes for just a moment before he was hauled into the infirmary. "Levy-chan, are you ok? Your face is all red." I reached my hand up to my face and found it was really hot. It was strange because I had never felt this way before. Lu-chan shot me a knowing look even though I had no idea what she was talking about. I turned away from her and stared at infirmary door. I wonder what Gajeel is like?

~Time Skip~

A couple weeks had past since Gajeel and Juvia had shown up and I still knew little about them. Gajeel stayed away from everyone and always sat at the table farthest from the other orphans. The only time he even came close to the other children was at meal time, but he still kept his distance. Juvia stayed glued to his side at all times and all I had heard Gajeel say were grunts and curses.

One day I say Juvia and Gajeel sitting next to each other and I had an idea. "Lu-chan, I'm gonna go sit with Gajeel and Juvia-san." Lu-chan looked at me with horror. "Is that really a good idea, Levy-chan? Gajeel is really scary!" I glanced at Gajeel and I could tell he heard Lu-chan. I couldn't stand that he had made no friends at all since he showed up to Fairy Tail. I set my mouth in a line and stood up from my chair. I could feel the other orphans staring at me as I walked toward them.

As I walked toward them with my Fairy Tale book under my arm, I started to waver. What if he doesn't want me to sit with him? Well, maybe Juvia will like me. I smiled a little more because of that thought. I stood at the edge of the table and waited for Gajeel and Juvia to notice me. I stood there for about a minute until Juvia looked up at me. I gave her the biggest smile that I could muster. "Hi! My name is Levy McGarden and I'm six years old." Juvia looked sort of shocked to see me talk to them while Gajeel didn't acknowledge me at all. Juvia stood up from next to Gajeel but still stuck close while she was walking to me.

She curtsied and looked at me with a slight smile. "Juvia Locksar and she is seven years old."  I took her hand and led her to the bench across from Gajeel and sat down. "I want to be Juvia and Gajeel's friend. Do you want to be my friend, too?" Gajeel snorted and looked up at me. He had a large bandage above his eye that no one had seen since he has kept his head down all the time he was at Fairy Tail. "You really think I need a shrimp like you for a friend? Yeah, right." Juvia looked at him with stern eyes and whacked him on the head. "Ow! Damn woman! What was that for?" Juvia whacked him again and I looked on, shocked. He looks really mad, what's he gonna do? But Gajeel didn't do anything. He kept a blank face that even looked like pouting and stared at Juvia. "Gajeel-kun needs to be nicer to Levy-san. She is the first person to be nice to Gajeel-kun and Juvia and you made fun of her." She then looked at me with shining eyes. "Juvia is sorry about Gajeel-kun's meanness but Juvia want to be Levy-san's friend. Gajeel-kun will come around eventually.

I then sat down next to Juvia and took out my book. I read it to her and talked to her about it until it was dinner time. I sat between Juvia and Lu-chan while Gajeel stuck close to Juvia. I was happy that Juvia finally had someone to play with other than Gajeel. I also decided to get closer to Gajeel. I am going to be Gajeel's friend no matter what.
