"What are you doing!?" Mirta yelled snatching the death stick from Ghes. The ginger blinked, extremely surprised that she had actually did that. The brunette threw the death stick off the balcony and hit her friend upside the head.
"Oh come on," Ghes hissed,"you got drunk. Why can't I get high?" She gave him this look that made him gulp. He needed to change the subject and fast.
"Did you get any information?" Ghes asked as he looked a Mirta. He now noticed the bits of blood on her armor that were not her own. Ghes knew torture was part of the job of a bounty hunter; sometimes the only way to get information was that way. It still made him a little sick to his stomach though.
"Yeah," Mirta answered simply as she stood next to him. It was quiet for a while and Ghes began to get irritated.
"So what did he tell you?"
"And I should tell you because?"
"He broke into my home," Ghes stated simply,"I'm pretty sure that it makes it my business so spill it." Mirta blushed for a second in embarrassment knowing he made a point she could not fight against. Turning away from him, she looked at the view from her friend's apartment. It had a great view of the Mandalorian capital. The buildings went for miles, but off in the distance you could see the trees.
"Isn't this when we're supposed to kiss?" Mirta swirled around. She was pretty sure Ghes had said that or was she hearing things.
"Did you just say something?"
"No."
"Liar."
"Really," Ghes said turning to look at her as he lifted an eyebrow,"then what did I say?" The smirk on his face made her want to slap him. As she lifted her hand to do so, her ginger haired friend dashed off.
"Get back here you kriffing soulless ginger!" Mirta said as she dashed after him. Having already gotten rid of the body of the assassin, only the two of them were in the apartment. The ginger dashed into the bathroom and locked the door. Mirta stopped right before she face planted into the metal door.
"Unlock the door!"
"No."
"I'll forgive you if you tell me what you said."
"You already know what I said!"
"Do not!"
"Look who's the kriffing liar now girly!" Mirta's face grew red with rage as she pulled out her blaster. She aimed it at control pad for the door.
"Last warning Ghes," Mirta Gev hissed,"open the door."
"Force no!" With that answer, Mirta shot the control pad and entered the room. Ghes looked at her; his eyes widened with shook. Quickly though his steel gray eyes shine with rage. Mirta suppressed a gulp; oh force she had taken things a bit to far.
"Your gonna pay for that."
"How much do you want for it?" Ghes chuckled at her answer, but she could still see a storm raging in his cloudy eyes.
"I want half of the credits your getting on the hunt your about to go on-"
"That's 50,000 credits!" Mirta yelled,"no way in sith hell! And besides I know fixing the force damn door won't coast that much!" Her face suddenly turned green; the amount of alcohol she had taken in finally caught up to her. She pushed him out of the way and leaned over the toilet.
"You found my stash while you were getting information from the hunter didn't you?" Mirta glared up at her friend once she had finished getting rid of everything in her stomach.
"It works as a good way to get people to talk when you don't have the right equipment if you pour it on the right spot," she answered,"and I may or may not have had just a bit more to drink." Ghes face palmed and then looked at his old friend. He reached down and picked up his friend; throwing her over her shoulder once again. This time being exhausted from all the alcohol, running around, and killing, Mirta was to exhausted to fight with him.
He put her on the couch and then went to see exactly how much of his alcohol stash was still there. Mirta pulled off her armor and laid back on the couch; now in only the grey shirt and pants that she wore under her gear. She was out cold before Ghes returned.
"Mirta!" Ghes yelled when he saw about two thirds of his stash gone from it's spot in the kitchen. He stomped back to her only to find her asleep. He sighed as his rage cooled and ran his gloved ringers through his naturally ginger hair. He snickered to himself about the dye comment she had made earlier. After she had left when they were younger, his hair over the years became more and more red.
Ghes went to his bedroom and came back with a blanket. He threw it over his friend and then headed off to bed. Force knew he needed to sleep especially since he had no clue what would happen tomorrow.********
"Yeah I think I won't be around for a while," Ghes voice said as Mirta opened her eyes. It was morning, but she didn't want to move. Her head was in so much pain; oh dear force she didn't think a hangover could feel this horrible.
"Yeah just come back one piece ya here," a voice answered Ghes. Mirta quickly recognized the voice of Ghes's guardian.
"I'll be fine," Ghes answered back,"who knows this might be my big break in becoming a bounty hunter if it works out. See ya when I return."
"Looking forward to it kid," his guardian said simply. She could hear the sound the communicator turn off and saw Ghes lean over the couch.
"Bad hangover?" Ghes asked with a slight smile. Mirta rolled her eyes and the ginger laughed before heading to the kitchen.
"I'll get you some coffee," Ghes said,"and then you can tell me who we are hunting."
