Eridan made his way to the computer store and browsed the shelves for something that could catch his eye. He tested out all of the new brands, makes and models, then he finally found one. He picked it up and brought it home. 

When he had arrived home, he noticed that there was another car in their drive way. He'd never seen it before so he had gotten suspicious. He picked up his new computer and walked inside with it. 

"Sol?" He called out and saw Sollux sitting in their living room with his best friend, Karkat Vantas. "Oh, Kar, it's you."

"WHY'D YOU SAY IT LIKE THAT, ASSHOLE?" Karkat said a little offended. Eridan shrugged and then went to his room to set up his computer. "SO WHAT ARE THE BOTH OF YOU, A COUPLE OR SOMETHING?" 

"II wouldn't 2ay couple... More or le22 liike... Good friiend2?" Sollux shrugged, not knowing how to explain his situation with Eridan without sounding like an idiot.

"SO YOU GUYS AREN'T A COUPLE AND YOU STILL KISS? THAT DOESN'T SEEM REALLY... I DON'T KNOW, RIGHT?"

"He'2 just liiving wiith me untiil he can fiind hii2 own place. II'm kiind of 2iick of hiim liiviing here wiith me a liittle biit."

"DON'T SAY THAT ABOUT THE POOR GUY."

"2iince when diid you have feeliing2?"

"I HONESTLY DON'T REALLY KNOW. I WENT TO SOME CLASSES THAT HELPED ME CARE ABOUT PEOPLE."

"Well that'2 good to hear." Sollux teased.

"YEAH I GUESS." Karkat shrugged as they watched tv. Little did they know, Eridan was listening to their entire conversation. He sighed and began to set up his computer.

"If he really wwants me gone, then I guess he should get wwhat he wwants so he can be happy." Once he finished setting up his computer he began looking for apartments for sale. Ones with open houses, some around the area, some far away, expensive, cheap.

It was late that evening and Sollux knocked on Eridan's door.

"Diiner'2 ready fii2shdiick." He walked back down the hallway and into the kitchen sitting at the table waiting for Eridan. Eridan got up from his desk and left his room, he had found an apartment he was interested in and wanted to tell Sollux about it as soon as possible. He took a seat at the table and Sollux began to eat. Karkat had left hours ago. "2o, how'2 your new computer?" 

"Oh, wwell, it's good. Thanks for askin'." He took a bite of his food, "so, Sol. I found an apartment for me to livve in so I don't bother you anymore."

"Bother me? Where diid you hear that?"

"I ovver heard you and Kar talkin' about it... Howw you're sick of me livvin' here wwith you. So I thought I'd take some action for once and look into some houses or apartments for me to livve in."

"ED, II wa2 ju2t me22iing around. II wa2n't beeiing 2eriiou2."

"Wwell, it sure as hell sounded like it. Tellin' Kar that wwe aren't a couple. Are you embarrassed of bein' wwith me? Are you embarrassed to tell people that wwe are together?"

"No, ED, iit'2 not liike tha-"

"Then wwhat is it, Sol. Wwhat are wwe?" Sollux went quiet and didn't say anything, "just as I thought."

"II ju2t don't know how to put iit iinto word2, ED. Plu2, we aren't even a couple. You never a2ked me out." Eridan has just realized that and looked down at his hands. 

"So... Does that givve me a chance?"

"A chance at what?"

"Askin' you, to... be my boyfriend?" A grin appeared on Sollux's face and then he smiled.

"II thought you'd never a2k." Sollux got up and walked over to Eridan, sitting on his lap and wrapped his arms around his neck, "II'm acctually really proud of you for a2kiing, ED."

"Wwell, you make me nervvous sometimes."

"Nervou2? Me? Make you nervou2?" Sollux giggled slightly.

"You're unpredictable and I nevver knoww wwhat's goin' to come out of that cute little mouth of yours." Eridan stared into Sollux's eyes and smiled. "I... lovve you, Sol."

"II love you too, ED." Sollux closed his eyes and kissed Eridan passionately. Eridan picked up Sollux and he walked into his bedroom and laid Sollux onto his bed and kissed his neck. Sollux let out a gasp and then held Eridan's hand. Eridan nuzzled Sollux and then laid next to him. They opened their eyes.

"Sol? Do you think you can sleep wwith me tonight?" He asked softly.

"Of cour2e, ED." Eridan kissed Sollux's nose and then he closed his eyes, snuggling close to Eridan. Eridan wrapped his arm around Sollux and pulled him into a hug.

"Goodnight my love." He kissed Sollux's head and closed his eyes.
