"Eiighty 2iix, eiighty 2even, eiighty eiight-" Sollux had been sitting at the kitchen table counting boondollars in his bee capsule.

"Good mornin', Sol!" Sollux's hard work was shattered with Eridan's voice beaming with excitement, "Do you hear the birds chirpin'? See the rainbow shoot all the wway across the damn sky? Beautiful." Eridan stood happily looking out the window to the kitchen. 

"Yeah, II heard iit. IIt wa2 beeautiiful beefore you fucked up my 2hiit! FUCK!" Sollux snapped at Eridan. Eridan turned and looked at Sollux's work. 

"Wwhat wwere you doin' anywway? Doesn't seem that important." Eridan looked curiously at what was spread out on the work space.

"Uh. Yeah. IIt wa2 pretty damn iimportant. II wa2 countiing my boondollar2. Two 2ee iif II had enough two buy you a pre2ent!" As Sollux spoke he bit his tongue and looked down at the table, "Tiime to 2tart over agaiin. Thank2 a lot fii2hdiick..." He sighed and started counting again, "one, two, three, four-"

"You wwere actually goin' to buy me a gift?" Eridan smiled and sat in a chair next to Sollux. "That's so swweet of you."

"Of cour2e II wa2 goiing two buy you a giift, who do you thiink II am. A diick head mate2priit?" Sollux looked at Eridan with his arms up in the air exasperated. 

"You knoww, that is the first time you'vve referred to yourself as, a matesprit." Eridan smirked and stared into Sollux's eyes. He took Sollux's hands and kissed them. 

"U-Uh... well... yeah. Beecau2e II am your mate2priit. And, II am proud of iit. For once." Sollux smiled at Eridan and blushed. 

"I'm glad," Eridan responded and kissed Sollux's cheek. "So, wwhat are our plans for this fine day, Sol? Wwhat did you havve planned?"

"Um, II thought that we could go to the mall or 2omethiing. Maybe meet up wiith 2ome friiend2 liike FE or KK or people liike that."

"Oh, Fef? Wwhy her? You an I both knoww that wwe do not really associate ourselvves wwith her." Eridan crossed his arms.

"What'2 wrong wiith her? II mean, yeah maybee we have hooked up wiith her a couple of tiime2 iin the pa2t beefore but, we can alway2 let bygone2 bee bygone2, riight?" Sollux shrugged.

"I guess wwe can... Just knoww that she wwill be a little awwkwward wwith me around because I knoww that she is not ovver me yet. But I'll be okay if you're okay wwith it."

"II'm okay wiith iit only iif you promii2e not to blow a fuckiing ga2ket when you 2ee her."

"Ha ha, vvery funny, Sol." Eridan laughed jokingly and Sollux rolled his eyes. "Wwhy do you roll your eyes like that, it's a little adorable." Eridan smiled. 

"Adorable? That'2 fuckiing weiird." Sollux cringed. Eridan kissed Sollux and held his hand. "What are you doiing?" 

"Tryin' to seduce you, I think?"

"Well, iit'2 not workiing." Sollux smirked and Eridan hugged him. 

"Sure it's not." Eridan picked up Sollux and put him over his shoulder. 

"What are you doiing. Whatever your mii22iion ii2, make iit 2top! Put me down!" 

"I knoww wwhat wwill make that cute little mouth a yours take a break from runnin'." Sollux kept squirming over Eridan's shoulder and protesting.

"Nothiing you do wiil shut me up, NOTHIING!!"
