"What should we do? We can't let our daughter experience this!" There is a beautiful woman...carrying a baby. This woman, obviously in her early thirties, seemed stressed and her eyes were full of sadness and grief. Talking to a strong, powerful merman.
"We do the only thing we can do. We release our daughter to somewhere safe. This possible location would be the mortal world. Everyone in the kraken realm is looking for her now. If we keep our daughter here, I cannot guarantee her safety." The man said this in a powerful, yet upset tone. His wife nodded in agreement. She looked at the baby.
"I will miss you, my precious daughter."

"What, more like, where was that?" I say outwardly, not expecting a response.
"Manami, what's wrong? Are you alright?"Kasumi asked as she woke up rubbing her eyes. Man, she's so cute! I just can't hold myself back when she acts all cute. Wait, what was I worring about? I completly forgot. It was some type of dream. I suppose I shouldn't worry about what I cannot remember.
"Nothing's wrong Kasumi. Just a wierd dream; not something you should worry about." I reassured her. She smiled back as she stood up.
"What do you want to do today Kasumi?" I grinned as I took her hand for assistance standing.
"Let's go to the beach today, Manami." She said automatically without really realizing what I Asked. She probably just said it in impulse. She went on my bed and laid on her stomach.
"My back is aching from sleeping on the floor; rub it for me?" She asked in a childlike voice. I smiled foolishly and cracked my knuckles mimicking a real massager. I slightly lifted her shirt and began rubbing, gradually getting more playful as I move down. She twitches.
"Stop! That tickles! Get off me!" After a long and overly cliché tickle fight, we were both laying beside each other catching our breath.
"Since we are already hot and breathing heavily, do you wanna-"
I slammed a pillow on her face.
"We're going to the beach." I turned away heading to the bathroom and I could hear her laughing up a storm. Damn how I love her so.
"Love you too, Manami!" She yells to me , again reading my mind.

"It's a nice day out! Are we just gonna soak up some rays?" I turn my head to her. 'Rays?' Wtf? This bitch can't be serious. Where is she getting her slang from?
"A reliable source. And that's queen bitch mind you."
"Okay, this is getting to me. Can you read my mind?" She smirks and smacks me on the cheek playfully.
"You're getting slow!" I rub my cheek over dramatically. She gets the hint and kisses it 'to make it feel better.'
"I want to see your underwater home. And it'll be a good opportunity to learn the extent of my powers." I say nonchalantly. She flashes a grin and leads me in the water knee deep. She, quickly transforms while I, can only sense my feet tingle.
"C'mon. Change." I nudge my feet together slightly and BAM my feet transform and I face plant into the watery sand. Kasumi lifts me up by my arm and leads me into deeper water.
"Like this." She shows me her tail wavering to keep her up above water. I repeat her movements in a more exaggerated way only to be half as much above water than her. She smiles and swims closer to me.
"For now, I'll carry you there." She swims behind me and securely keeps my weight up.
"Don't take a breath before going underwater, you'll choke on it. Just take in water like you take in air." I give her a look of fear. Breath in water? Won't I die?
"You won't. Trust me." I nod. She kisses me softly before letting our bodies lower down into the deep abyss.

After about fifteen minutes of swimming in dark water (which scared me since I couldn't see anything in front of me) I began to see a large light emit from deep down inside.
"We're home." She transmits to me telepathically. I suddenly see large buildings and hundreds of mer-people swimming about the ginormous city. It's gold. Everything is. We arrive to a large golden gate. The strong looking gatekeeper nears us. He eyes is both before smiling and nodding in my direction.
"Welcome home girls. Especially you, Saki. I remember seeing you when you were a baby. I see Kasumi has made an exceptional mate; good for both of you." He chuckles proudly and opens the gate. I look at him confusingly while Kasumi blushes furiously before swimming through the gates quickly. Saki. Who's that?
"First things first. I get you to see your real parents." She smiles to herself and nods accordingly. Why does everyone know things that I don't about myself? It's a downer. She chuckles, guessing she was reading my mind again. She doesn't swim for long before we are met by yet another gatekeeper.
"What are your reasons for visiting the King and Queen?" He questions fiercely. Kasumi nudges towards me and he automatically recognizes me.
"Princess Saki! Right this way!" He takes the lead.
"Kasumi, who's Saki?" Feeling like I already know the answer, I still question it.
"All will be explained soon." She stops me and kisses me gingerly. Wanting more, I return the kiss until the gatekeeper coughs slightly and points to a door hesitantly.
"I-In there, your highness." Kasumi takes my waist again and leads me inside. It's big and spacious. There are two thrones, both occupied.
'The king and queen sit there. Those are your parents." The king notices our presence and Kasumi bows to them and I mimic her to the best of my abilities.
"This can't be." The king mumbles as he rises to come closer; his wife does the same.
"Saki? My daughter?" The queen pushes her way to me and engulfs me in a tight hug. Something inside me clicks and I finally feel, complete. I would be crying right now if it weren't for me being surrounded by water.
"How is this possible?" The king says bewildered. He turns his head to my girlfriend. Ooh that's the first time I've said it that way! It's cute.
"Kasumi? Daughter of Alem? Very nice." He chuckles fondly. He also hugs me, bringing Kasumi into the hug.
"Thank you. We are together once more."
