Chapter 10

Katies POV
I left Hogwarts that night after Dumbledore had instructed me to do so. All i knew that Voldemort being back meant that the order of the phoenix must be officially coming back together. All this time what i had been training for was just me preparing for something we thought could happen, and it happened after all. I was back in London outside Grimmauld place, made eye had taught me how to reveal the house. There was something off about everything. Cold air brushed against my skin as i felt goosebumps form on my body. The sky was dark and eery just like how dad described to me what it was like when the dark lord was at large last.

I had bandages wrapped around my head from the injury i succumbed when Barty Crouch jr. performed stupefy on me. Everything happened so fast i didn't even have the time to sort out my mind and consume everything that had happened. I left without seeing George after the little argument we had i was left unanswered. I walked up the stairs to the front opening the front door that revealed the worn out dark hallway that i have gotten used to last summer. Kreecher was a useless house elf who did nothing to make that house look alive. The kitchen door at the end of the hall way was open. I heard chattering from inside.

"Katherine Roxanne Black, there you are" uncle Remus who looked worried pops out through the door as he walked towards me hastily embracing me in a hug.

"Are you alright? You injured yourself?" He says pulling away as he gently held my face.

"I am okay Uncle Remus, bu.." and i was cut off. He pulls away keeping my trunks on the side and led me towards the dining room/kitchen.

"Uncle remus, whats going on.. why did Dumbledore send me back?" I asked whilst walking by his side but
He didn't answer me. He stopped at the door frame looking over at me with a grin on his face. I looked over at the table to see dad sat on his official seat at the head of the table, my cousin Tonks whom i have met only like two or three times my entire life, a man dressed in blue robes and a hat, all their eyes on me as their conversation was put to a halt.

"Dad" i breathed out seeing him feeling some sort of relief. My eyes were filled with tears however i held them back. I ran over to him as he stood up embracing me in a hug. I felt safe.

"You did great katie, i am proud of you" he cupped my face as he caressed my hair in a fatherly manner.

"Hey katie cutie" we were interrupted to cousin tonks who called me with the name she used to call me when i was a kid. She sat on the side as i turned over to her with a huge smile.

"Tonks" i breathed out and rushed over to her giving her a quick hug.

I sat next to her as the room became silent as ever. Dad pours me some butter beer passing it over to me .

"Katie, this is Kingsley he is an Auror at the Ministry of Magic, and this is just some of us from the order" my eyes scanned the movements of uncle remus who walked over to the other side of the table as he took a seat next to Kingsley.

"Now to answer your question katie, you do know that Dumbledore has been working on getting back the order of the Phoenix, and you've been preparing for that. Now that Harry has confirmed That the dark Lord is back, he had ordered us to reform, officially." Kingsley who sat across me crossed his hands together as he explained to me.

"The dark lord being back means its dark times again, your life is in grave danger, anything and anyone who has come in his way are all his targets" uncle remus looks over at me.

"You have to tell us everything, everything you know and remember Katie" dad leaned on the table looking straight into my eyes, he nodded at me reassuring that i was safe now. I breathed out nervously adjusting on my seat, i felt tonks' arm around me to comfort me.
