The Cursed Island

"Listen, kid.." I started but he cut me off.

"Stop calling me 'kid'!" Natsu protested. "You're only two years older than me!"

"Right, Natsu." I tried again, "Going on an S-Class quest is very dangerous, you could get harmed or worse, killed. Which is why you should not go." I explained before his face lit up.

"You're worried about me?" Natsu asked, completely ignoring most of what I said.

"That is all you heard?" I asked incredulously. "How did you get that request, anyways?"

"I went up without permission and picked it up." Happy said.

"Oh that is just..." I huffed, running a hand through my blue locks.

"Since it was our first time, we picked the cheapest!" Natsu piped in, "Even so, it's seven million Jewels!" He said with a grin.

"Natsu..."

"Please, Jellani." Natsu begged, "Lucy's coming, too!" He tried but I didn't give in.

"You are going to be punished for this, Natsu." I said sternly.

"If you come, we probably won't be!" Happy pointed out.

"Probably." I repeated and Natsu dropped to his knees in front of me.

"Please, please, Jellani!" Natsu said, looking up at me with big eyes as he begged. I adverted my eyes and he started tugging on my sleeve. "Please!"

"Ugh! Alright." I gave in and he sprung up to hug me, practically throwing himself at me. I rolled my eyes and pushed him away, ignoring the warmth in my cheeks, "We leave tomorrow, I will be off to sleep now." I said as I got in my bed, the lights going off as I snapped my fingers.

Then, the bed dipped as someone shuffled under the covers with me. "Seriously?" I asked as Natsu cuddled into me, throwing an arm around me. He hummed before falling asleep, I sighed and closed my eyes.

□ Next day in the port of Hargeon □

I stood with my arms crossed, wearing my cloak and mask, as Lucy looked around. "Wow! This brings some memories back!" Lucy said with a smile. "It seems like only yesterday when we met here for the first time."

Natsu deadpanned, "It practically was yesterday. You don't have to get all mushy about it." Natsu said.

"Yeah you sound like an old lady!" Happy laughed. Lucy whipped around to glare at him.

"We should start looking for boat going to Galuna." I said, not amused by their discussion, and Natsu's eyes widened.

"A boat?! No way! Out of the question! We're going to swin there, right?!" Natsu asked with his hands on my shoulders.

"That's even more out of the question." Lucy said with a sweatdrop.

Each sailor we asked, shook in fear at the mention of Galuna, denying anything to do with the island. "I don't know why you want to go... but you won't find a sailor who will want to take you. Even the pirates avoid that island." One man said to us.

"Are you serious?" Lucy whined.

Natsu seemed happy though, "So it's decided! We swim!" He announced.

"Aye!" Happy agreed.

"WE'RE NOT SWIMMING, NATSU!" Lucy yelled.

"Swim? That's an even surer way to comit suicide. Well, if you aren't afraid of huge man-eating sharks, that's another matter, I guess." The man shrugged.
