New Years Love

The many monsters sat in Toriel's house chatting and eating some of the best snacks in their life.
           "Papyrus! This spaghetti is amazing!!!" Undyne said happily chowing down on some spaghetti, "Your a lot better at cooking now!"
            "Thank you!" Papyrus beamed and puffed out his chest proudly.
             "That's my bro!" Sans said lazily eating some nachos.
              Mettaton and Muffet however weren't saying anything to anyone except each other. They both sat in a corner cozily drinking some hot cocoa.
              "It's odd how weird the newest trends are!" Muffet went on.
              "Oh yes darling! Some of the trends are the dumbest ideas ever!" Mattaton said waving his hand around.
               They were suddenly interrupted by Toriel, "Mettaton, Muffet, what's your New Years Resolution?"
               Mettaton perked up, "To get a girlfriend!" He said  brushing his bangs back, "Just need to find the right girl!"
               "I already found one..." Sans said winking at him.
              "Sans... Remember when I pranked you?" Muffet said her cool eyes on Sans. Muffet had pranked him a week back by making him fall into a hole with a web at the bottom. He got stuck and all of Muffet's friends had came out and crawled on him. Muffet watched laughing before telling her friends off. Henry however, had spun a small web in Sans eye. He wouldn't get out and Muffet had to lure him out using some spider donuts.
            Sans held up his hands still smiling though. "Just tell us your-"
           "I want to open a bakery." Muffet said, "Probably just a small one then maybe I'll build onto it." Muffet smiled.
           "Great!" Toriel said clapping her hands, "Look it's midnight! Who wants pie!" They all gathered around and into the dinning room and sat at the table.
           Papyrus sat next to Undyne who sat on the edge of the table. He saw Alphys coming and stood up, "I'll move-"
           "N-no it's f-fine!" Alphys smiled before sitting next to Mettaton. She looked at him, "TBH, I-I do shi-ip them." She smiled at Mettaton before frowning. "Yo-u look like your ke-eping  s-something from me!" She said as a piece of pie was passed to her.
           "Well," Mettaton hesitated. "I'll tell you in a second." Once the chat started up again and the room was noisy then Mettaton whispered into Alphys ear, "Look Papyrus told me he does like her."
            Alphys covered her mouth as a blush spread on her face. "Oh yesyesyesyesyesyesyesyes!" She whispered clapping her hands quietly.

"Asgore!" Mettaton called to the king as       he walked up (fabulously of course). "Congrats on Toriel darling, I'm glad you two are together again!"
           Asgore chuckled, "Thank you Mettaton, that's very kind of you."
            "I also need to talk to you..." Mettaton said quietly, "Privately." He dug his boots into the ground hoping he didn't look helpless.
            "Oh of course!" Asgore led him into a cafe near by, as they just got out of Toriel's New Years party. They sat down at a table inside and got some nice hot cocoa.
            "Look Asgore, I really have this odd feeling every now and then." Mettaton explained placing his cocoa on the table. "And it's a good feeling, like I'm flying. But I'm not and I can feel my spirits soaring, and only one thing triggers that feeling." Mettaton tapped on the table looking at Asgore. "That one thing is Muffet, and I don't understand or know what I'm feeling and I just need to know." He sighed and looked at Asgore who had the smallest of a smile on his face.
           "I don't think you'll like my next words." Asgore said but Mettaton insisted and Asgore continued. "Your in love with Muffet..."
            Mettaton's face was blank before he opened his mouth and closed it a few times. He suddenly laughed, "N-no wonder! I-I should've known w-what I-I-it was!!" He stood up and shook Asgore's hand, "Thank you so much!" He pranced out of the cafe happy as ever.

"I don't think you'll like my 'words of wisdom' now." Toriel said to Muffet.
           "No no! I need to know! I don't get this feeling at all and I need to know why!!!" Muffet said shaking her head, "Please tell me!"
            Toriel laughed, "Alright alright. By what you explained I think you have a crush on Mettaton."
            Muffet stood up, "Love... I'm feeling love aren't I!" She picked up her small purse and held out her hand to Toriel, "Thank you so much!"
             Toriel took her hand and shook it, "Your welcome sweetie."
            Muffet literally danced right out of Toriel's home and back to her small house.
