Premonition: Invisible Threads

Everything was fading. Chrom and I are almost done, we need to finish this now. As my "father" backs us up against the wall, I attempt to stab him in the gut, which fails FYI. But I did't need to land it, I just needed to distract him. As Validar charges his attack, laughing and believing he had me beaten. But then he was stuck straight through his heart with a sword. As he fell the ground shouting "Damn you both!" I saw at the last second that he was aiming the last of his power at his killer, Chrom. I ran as fast as I could and shoved him to the side, taking the hit.

"Are you OK? That's the end of him." I open my eyes and see Validar trying to heal himself from death, and Chrom looking at me. "Thanks to you, we carried the day. We can rest easy now." This was the moment everything went wrong. I suddenly was on the receiving end of the world's worst headache and I had this command to do the unspeakable. I thought I was defeating the urges, until I looked down and saw and I had stabbed him. The headache was gone, but at the price of my best friend's life. He tried his hardest to speak his last sentence, "This is not your fault," His breathing getting heavier, " Promise me, you'll get out of here." I couldn't watch the rest. I started running. Running as fast and hard as I could. I ran from the deep laughter in the corners of my mind. I ran from all of my friends who were fighting as hard as they ever had. I thought it was over until I saw the sun. I didn't know where I was running until I saw where I had to go.

I had to go to the beginning.
