As we arrived in the village, no civilians were in sight. There were three ruffians patrolling the market, and two more near the middle of town probably guarding the leader. As soon as I told them this all of my new friends stared me down like I was a ghost. It was then I realized they could just barely see the first 3 grunts. How did I do it? I didn't know, and I still don't know. But you won't believe what happened next. I told them to split up, Frederick goes for the furthest brute, Chrom fights The giant sweaty pig-looking man, and I go for the mage in the center, And it was a great plan, if I would have told Lissa to go anywhere but with me. As soon as I Approached the mage, another swordsman ran out from behind us and almost cut right through my leg.

I'm not gonna lie, I screamed. Lissa tried to heal me, but the mage cast a spell at us, and it was a direct hit to almost both of us. She was unconscious, maybe dead. All that I know is that the next thing I saw was a foot charging into my face.

When I woke up, I was tied to a meat hook hanging from the ceiling. Chrom and Frederick were there, but they had not woken up yet. I started to analyze my surroundings when I realized.

Lissa was not hanging beside me. She was laying on two crates, dead.

Who I assume to be the leader of the group stumbled his way through the door, he brought all of his soldiers. Just what I had thought, he had double the army than what we saw. By now all three of us were awake, but kept silent from the rope in our mouth.

They took out the hairy string from my mouth, and told me to tell them who we were.

"Go to hell." I replied kindly

He kicked me in what remained of my leg. My shin was split in half horizontally, and it was dangling through the air. They asked me again, and I said something I don't feel comfortable sharing. This was the last straw for them. He raised his hand and two of his men stabbed both of my friends.

"If you don't tell us who you are then they'll bleed out, even if you have reinforcements.

I looked both of them in the eyes and they shook their heads.

I looked at the man in charge and told him "I'm the guy who's gonna kill you."

He smiled and all of a sudden there was an axe through my chest.

I was dead.

The pain was gone. I opened my eyes, and my foot was back. The axe was gone. And I had just arrived at the village with all my friends to stop the bandits. it dawned on me where I was. No. When I was.

I had gotten a second chance.
