"Mom! You know what, I've been thinking and you know how I said I was attracted to men?" I asked as I helped my mom weed the garden. "Yes lovey, I remember. That's a hard thing to forget." My mom said, teasing me. I smiled, "Well, what if there was like this game show that asked you all these different questions and they told you what your sexuality was without them even knowing?" I asked, smiling. "That'd be a show I'd watch!" She said, laughing. "Mom, I think I'm going to go to the park. I need some new inspiration." I said, smiling. Mom nodded and I walked inside to grab my sketchbook, pencils, and phone before walking to the park. There was a giant willow tree at the park that immediately sat under. Afraid by The Neighbourhood was playing on my phone when someone dropped out of the tree a few feet from me. "Fancy seeing you here." Mark said, his smirk fixed on his face. I smiled and he sat in front of me. "You listen to The Neighbourhood?" He asked. "Well, I only have like, two of their songs but their good songs." I said, using my finger to smear some of the pencil on my drawing. "What're you drawing?" He asked. "A willow tree by a pond. But there's someone coming out of the pond, and someone's hiding in the tree." I said, showing him the drawing so far. "Cool! Make that me, and that you. Do the blue hair, and make yours green." He said, smiling. "Greens nice. But red's my favorite color." I said. "Dye your hair green, I'm planning on going red. It'd look cool with a beanie on. Or without too." He said. He picked my phone up and gestured for me to unlock it. He typed away for a minute and then nodded once, handing me my phone back. "See you later, Jackaboy." He said, then winked. I blushed and waved bye, looking at my phone. He added his number to my contacts.
An few hours later I was making my way to my house. "Mom! I have a crush!" I yelled as I walked in the front door. "Really?" She yelled from the kitchen. "Yep! May I dye my hair?" I asked, sliding my shoes off. "Dye your hair? What color?" She asked. "Green. But not dark green." I replied, smirking as I waited for an answer. "If you can find someone who can do it right, then yes." She answered. "Yes! Thank you mom!" I exclaimed, running to my room. I jumped onto my bed and started going through my laptop, until my phone rang. "Hello?" I asked. "Jackaboy. It's Mark, I was bored so I called you." He said, chuckling. "Well hi Mark." I said, chuckling. "Jack, I was wondering if that picture you drew really was me or not." He said, curiously. "Actually it was supposed to be a friend of mine, but it looked more like you." I said while typing into the search bar on my computer. "Can you draw me with a crown on and squirrels around me?" He asked after a few silent minutes. I laughed and heard Mark chuckle. "Why?" I asked, smiling at my phone. "Cause I'm king of the squirrels!" He said, excitedly. "King of the squirrels. Do you want to be a cartoon?" I asked, smirking. "Yes! With a pink moustache that's too big for my face, but only to where my mouth is missing!" He exclaimed. I chuckled and heard my mom knocking on the door. "Yes mom?" I asked. "Your popcorn done, Sean." She said, smiling. "Thank you mom!" I said, happily. I walked to the kitchen phone in hand. "Sean?!?" Mark yelled into the phone. "Yeah, Sean's my real name. I just ask people to call me Jack." I said, pouring my popcorn into a bowl. "Sean, who are you talking to?" My mom asked, curiously. "Mark." I said, smirking. Mom smiled and poked my stomach, "My baby's being all cute for a boy." I blushed, "Mom!" "Aww! Jack, your mom thinks you have a crush!" Mark laughed. My heart dropped. "Yeah, I don't know." I mumbled. I walked back to my room and typed in a random song that popped into my head. We talked until midnight and I fell asleep at one, thinking about Mark.
