I shoved past Sam and swung a fist to his face. I heard his jaw crack. He screamed in agony. Sam tried to restrain me. "What are you doing here you bastard!!" I shrieked at him. "How dare you show your face to me!"
He stood. "Wow, you're a feisty little murderer aren't you." He chuckled whilst rubbing his sore jaw. I screamed in absolute furiosity. "She was our daughter!" Then a pair of doctors rushed through the door and tackled me to the floor and I felt a needle being jabbed into my neck. A sharp pain rushed over my body and I became limp and fell out of consciousness.I awoke in my cell. My head throbbed and my whole body ached. My straight jacket had been returned. A harsh realisation rushed over me. My heart shattered. Sam, I hate you, well... I don't but I do. I need to get out of here! I was right I couldn't stay here, I'd actually go insane. Sam was the only person I knew here apart from Carlos. I had to do this alone. But how? I had to think. I felt weaker than ever.
Then the door creaked open and a guard came in. He was unfamiliar to me so I remained enigmatic. "Aurora Burns report for psychiatric assessment on request of Warden Burns." He stated monotonously.
"Warden!" I screeched. The guard signalled for me to follow him so I did how he asked with a perplexed look on my weary face.
We appeared at a small room with a table and two chairs. One was occupied by an assessor. She gestured for me to sit down so I did and she looked me up and down in disgust.
"Name?" She had a squeaky, little voice that was harsh against my ears.
"Aurora Burns."
"Reason for sentence?"
"Accused for the murder of my daughter." I emphasised on the word accused.
"Age"
"36"
"And finally nationality."
"Originally from Spain, but I have lived in Oxford for most of my life."
"Well now I'm going to say some words and you're going to say the first thing that comes to mind ok."
"Ok."
"Hatred?"
"Carlos Burns."
"Willow peaks?"
"Entrapment."
"Love?"
"Sam."
I started to get flustered at the thought of Sam so I asked her to stop but she carried on anyway.
"Freedom?"
"Luxury." I laughed at the thought of how distant it seemed.
"Sasha?"
"My baby girl." I started to sob.
"Ok I think we'll stop there." She mumbled apologetically. The guard led me back to my cell. I slowly sat down and I screamed loudly in anger. I breathed heavily and stared into the abyss. "I hate you, you shit!"
