chapter 3: And the new hellos begin

Previously on 'Playing it Cool'
Aria woke up early for her flight, she had a bit of time so she went shopping. Daniel (her brother) drive her to her airport which consist of talking about funny awkward memories and also singing along to 'Can't Hold Us' by Macklemore. Once she got to the air port she said bye to her brother for the summer but was told to call her mom before she felt, upsettingly, her mom didn't answer, and thus, aria left for London.

Chapter 3

The attendance called through the speaker, giving permission for me to stepped onto the plane It was shortly after the goodbye with Daniel at the front of the airport, it took longer then expected to get through to the gate becuz there was an obnoxious man in front of me and was holding up the line at the metal detector. Right now i'm looking for my seat..

5a... 6a... 7a... ahh there it is row 8 and i was in the seat closest to the window. 'YES!!' I thought in my head, I love the view from outside while on a plane! I scooted to the window seat after putting the last suitcase in the overhead compartment. I got comfortable in my seat, putting in my earbuds to listen to music, about to close my eyes until I felt someone sit next to me. I opened my eyes and turned my head to take a good look at her.

She looked around my age with really dark drown, practally black hair. She probably senced me looking at her because she turned her head, now look at me.

"Hello." I greeted after removing the earbuds from my ears.

"Hey!" She replied, green eyes with excitement. "Whats your name?"

"Arianna, but you can call me Aria for short. Whats yours?"

"Zoey, nice to meet you." She said.

"NO WAY! Congratulations!!" I squealed excitedly after Zoey told me that she was accepted and going to be attending London University. Its funny how we just met on the plane and sounded like long lost best friends and we have been non-stop talking for almost 3 hours. Its nice to have a company on the long and boring ten hour ride to London.

I found out that she is staying in the same apartment building as I am, she starts school in the fall. She's attend some summer courses. Zoey has the next 4 years laid out, unlike me; i'm just living in the moment and seeing where it takes me.

"Thanks." She chuckled, "So what's your reason for your trip to London?"

"It's always been my dream since I was a little girl." I sighed through my words. "I think that it would be the best if I take a year off before school and figure out what I wanted to do in life, but my mom was not too pleased with my decision." I shrugged.

"Why?" she wondered, looking confused. I guess she must've got supportive parents.

"Lets, just say she wasn't too happy to hear that I want to travel rather than going off to university or college right after high school." I sighed again, "She always wanted me to be successful as her. She's just mad that I'm not following her 'master plan'" I air quoted.

I watched her eyes grew wild. I guess I'm just such a rebel.

We talked for about another hour or so trying to stay awake but it soon enough we both decided to take a nap.
