John's eyes slowly fluttered open, he looked around himself only to find that he was not where he fell asleep, instead he was surrounded by jasmine flowers all around him, a field of them as far as the eye can see.

He sat there in awe, and just as his thoughts began to gather, the sound of violin entered his ears, he knew this song, it was Ave Maria, only different.

The notes seem to flow like a river and the tone was smooth like silk, it was as if the music was a warm blanket wrapping slowly around his heart, he had never heard such beautiful playing in all of his life. As the song progressed to the most exciting part, he couldn't help but feel it was lacking something, like a beautiful flower without a pot, it needed something.

As he turned to look at where the music was coming from, he felt a tingle on his nose
"What?" He thought when suddenly, he opened his eyes and sat up quickly.

The afternoon sun stung his eyes and he quickly shut them again. That was when he realized it was a dream. He went to rub his eyes when he felt water on his cheek

"I was..crying?"

He thought out loud.
Suddenly, he heard the sound of a violin yet again, beginning the same piece he had heard in his dream, this time even more beautifully

  "Am I still dreaming?"

He asked himself, sitting up and slowly adjusting his aching back. He pinched his arm and felt pain. When he realized this meant he wasn't dreaming, he stood up quickly, only to become extremely dizzy and have to sit down.

The song he heard was yet again reaching the most exciting part.

He stood up yet again, slowly this time, and began to walk towards the sound. He nearly stumbled as his leg almost gave out.

"It must have fallen asleep" he thought.

He took a few steps in order for it to return to normal, then proceeded towards to source of the music unhindered.

As the song got closer and closer to the end, becoming increasingly quiet, John walked faster and faster.

" I have to know who is playing so beautifully" he thought to himself, increasing his pace, moving past tree after tree and attempting not to trip on roots sticking up from the ground.

As the song slowed and the notes began to die, John saw and opening in the park, he sped past the trees, running at this point, and finally came to a clearing. In the middle of the clearing was a small hill with a circular patch of Jasmine flowers.

At the top of this hill in the middle of the flowers stood a girl with a violin. Wearing a beautiful white dress, Her hair was shoulder length and jet black with a shine to it as if it were constantly under the moonlight.

Her face was beautifully shaped, a small close nose, and slight East Asian features.

John stared at her in disbelief

"she looks like an angel" he muttered to himself.

He listened closely to the last note of the song resonating so quietly, you could barely hear it.

As the note disappeared into the air, never to be heard again, the girl opened her eyes, a deep shade of brown with slight hints of Hazel, she looked over at the panting figure standing at the corner of the opening and gasped, she quickly grabbed the violin by the neck, and ran the other direction towards the trees

"Wait!"

John yelled as he realized what was happening, he lurched forward only to get his foot caught on a root and trip slamming his chest firmly onto the ground and knocking the wind out of him. He coughed and wheezed on one knee, and by the time he got up to look around, she was gone.
