The bus came to a halt, and John stood up to get off. He took out his headphones only to hear his friend still talking.

"Have you been talking this entire time?"

John asked with an almost concerned face.

"Yea, why? Have you not been listening?"

  The boy asked confused

"Of course not. Didn't you see me put headphones on?"

John said in an almost annoyed tone, turning back to look at his friend behind him, barely noticing a stream of beautiful black hair float past him.

"Excuse me."

He heard an angelic voice say walking past him, he quickly turned his head to apologize and see who it was, but she was already off the bus and long gone.

"She walks quick, whoever it was" John thought to himself.

"Anyways"

said his friend, interrupting his thoughts.

"As I was saying, are you planning to join the orchestra this semester? I heard it's on a professional level, and that they almost won in a nationaly ranked competition a few years ago!"

The boy seemed to gleam with excitement

"I don't know"

John said, stepping off the bus

" I don't like to be forced to play music that doesn't suit me. You remember what happend when i was forced to play Schubert in middle school."

He said, a little bit of pain in his voice.

"I missed you in orchestra"

John looked at his friend with both concern and slight fear

" I'm straight , Chris."

he said, jokingly backing away a little bit.

"That's not what I meant!"

Chris all but yelled at his friend, sounding a little hurt at the same time.

" I know, I know. I'm just messing with you"

John said, appologeticaly patting Chris's shoulder.

"I'm sorry."

The words left his lips, but his friend could tell that he felt no remorse.

"Well, if you really are sorry, then join orchestra with me, and I might forgive you"

Chris exclaimed and crossed his arms over his chest in mock stubbornness, looking more like a grade schooler who wants to get his way than anything else.

"Cute" thought John to himself with a small smile, surprised by his own reaction, he shook his head and answered

"I might, I'll have to see what the director is like. "

this seemed to satisfy his friend, because the conversation ended there.

John then looked straight forward towards the school entrance, staring at the Massive gate with two golden wings jutting out on top, and the words
