The Heat

Sam Winchester was seriously going to die. He knew this for a fact. He knew this because he was going to do it himself.

It was the 20th Tuesday in a row that his brother, Dean, had died. First it was getting shot, than run over, and getting crushed.

No, Sam thought. I can't do this anymore. Just end it while you still can. Dean was taking a shower, as usual.
Maybe I can get it over with before he comes out.

Sammy always kept a gun under this pillow in case someone came in the night. (That sometimes happens) He hated the song that kept playing over and over and over again, every morning. "It was the Heat of the Moment". That song just rang in his head again and again.

Sam pulled the gun out from under the pillow. He looked for a blank piece of paper and a pen. The paper said,

Dear Dean,
I know I haven't been the best brother ever and you probably hate me. I just wanted to let you know that I love you and I want you to be happy. I have been stuck in Groundhog Day for almost a month now. You keep dying Dean, every single day. I can't deal with it anymore. Be happy, you jerk. Tell Bobby I wouldn't ask for anyone else to be my surrogate father. He's doing the best he can. Tell Jo and Ellen to keep the Roadhouse in the best condition. Keep the wiskey flowing. Be happy, Dean. Please be happy for me. Promise me. Don't be a jerk when I die.
Sincerely, Sam Winchester
P.S.
I don't want to see you in hell so figure something out.

Sam finished the note with tears in his eyes. He can hear Dean singing off key in the shower. He was going to miss that. And the Impala. The Impala was his home.

Goodbye baby, he internally said to the Impala. Goodbye Dean.

Sammy Winchester was leaving, for good this time. He picked up the gun and aimed it to his head. He was about to pull the trigger when he heard a voice scream," Sam! What the Hell are you doing?!"
