Samantha is being stalled for about a half hour more
Everything is set up. Most all of the people are here. Ugh, all of the kids are running around already. Wait, what if Samantha and Josh come early? Oh no, what if she sees the kids running around? Then she'll truly know what we've been up to. Yeah, and no one else is doing anything about it so I guess I'm the one who has to say or do something, and quickly!
"Hey kids, guys! Come on and play in the tent. You don't want Samantha to notice you, do you?"
As I walked over, I could barely get the words out, from all of the sand they were kicking up next to the volleyball net. They all huddled up and agreed to run back and hide in the tent for the supposedly 15 minutes left until Samantha and Josh pulled up.
-15 Minutes Later-
I peeked out the zipper of the tent as I heard the engine of Josh's Dodge Ram 2500 pull up into the parking lot. Though the kids and I had to walk a little whiles way to get to the actual picnic set up where all of the decorations and snacks are, it was worth it. The only reason why I know is because all of the adults that are there keep walking back to say how beautiful the area is. (Yes, I have full control of all of the kids because Liz went up to meet with Samantha and Josh. All of the adults are awaiting us at the picnic tables.)
Josh got out of the car while Samantha was putting something into her purse. Samantha was smiling at Josh when she was unoccupied anymore because he had walked around the truck and opened the passenger side door to help Samantha out of the vehicle. All of the kids quietly screeched in disgust for no reason and I promise you they almost deafened me.
As the one clueless person with the two who knew all about the bridal shower came a lot more closer, all of us kids jumped out of the half unzipped tent to scream, "Surprise," at the top of our lungs. Which kind of hurts when there are 17 kids screaming including myself. Samantha's face was so awesome, it was what I wished it were to be! A (minor) dream come true!
