~Chapter 3~

"Darius!" I screamed. "Let him go!"

"You have no say in this, Liliana!" He yelled back at me, still glaring at Hayden, who was struggling to breathe under his tight grip.

I put my hand on his shoulder and tugged. "Darius!" I growled.

He growled at Hayden once again but released him, causing him to fall to the ground, wheezing.

"Wow, little brother, you have quite the grip." Hayden wheezed, still being his cocky self.

"Brother?" I questioned, looking towards Darius, who still looked pissed.

Hayden smirked. "You couldn't see the resemblance?" He teased, knowing they look completely different with his sharp features and icy blue eyes and Darius' warming presence and soft, green eyes.

"Get over here and help me up, sweetheart." Hayden cooed, and Darius grabbed my hand.

"Don't." He grumbled lowly.

"Darius..." I whined before squeezing his shoulder and stepping away to help Hayden up.

I stretched out my arm. Hayden gave me a tight-lipped smile and grabbed it. He used my leverage to heave himself up, purposely crashing into me and wrapping his arms around my waist, pulling me into a hug.

"I should just take you as my own." He teased and Darius growled.

A little girl walked in the kitchen and stared at Hayden and I with a confused look.

"Alpha, who is she? Did Hayden find his mate?" She questioned excitingly, her big, blue eyes twinkling.

Her blonde hair was in cute little pigtails, and she was wearing a little pink dress that reached her knees. She looked about 5.

"No, Abigail, Liliana is my mate." Darius said, pulling me away from Hayden's hug and squeezing me in one of his own.

"But Alpha..." she pouted, "What about Safiya?"

I felt Darius tense. "Safiya's gone, Abby."
He said, his voice slightly wavering.

"Is Liliana going to replace her?" Abigail asked, referring to me.

"No," Darius said coldly, "but she will make a great Luna."

Abigail looked at me. "Nice to meet you, Luna." A bright smile complimented her cute features.

"Nice to meet you too, Abigail." I smiled back, and she laughed.

"Call me Abby." She gushed.

"Okay, Abby."

After I met Abby, Darius had to go back to work as an alpha, and I have to go back to school tomorrow.

We need to go back to my pack house to grab my stuff and explain to my parents what had happened in the past four days(most of it spent in the cell).

I need to say bye to Aaron. My boyfriend, Aaron, that Darius can't find out about or else he'll freak. I need to say bye to everyone. I miss them so much and I know I'll miss them more when I leave for good.

In the car, Darius stared out the windshield the whole time and never spoke a single word. Was he nervous? Every time I tried to make conversation, he just ignored me and didn't respond. Nervous...or mad?

Why would he be mad? Why would he be nervous? I didn't have an answer for either. So I asked him.

"What the hell is is wrong with you?"

"You know mates' minds are connected, right?" He grumbled.

"Yeah, and..?" I said, annoyed.

"So I know what you're thinking about doing when you go home." He said, the anger rising in his voice.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"Your fucking boyfriend, Liliana!" He yelled, his voice cracking on 'boyfriend'.

"Oh, uh, well, I-" He interrupted me.

"Your boyfriend, Liliana. Your fucking boyfriend." His voice was getting softer.

"Yes, I know I have a boyfriend, Darius, okay? I'm sorry that you're not okay with that but it was my decision. Also, I'm not going to date him anymore, I'm with you!"

"Liliana, I don't want him taking you away from me-"

"He won't!" I interrupted him this time, "He'll understand!"

"But what if he doesn't? Why did you even have a boyfriend, Liliana? Why didn't you wait?"

"Because I was in love with him!" I screamed, but shortly after realizing my mistake.

"You were in love with him?" He groaned and gripped the steering wheel tighter.

"At the time..." I trailed off.

"Liliana..." Darius groaned again.

"Why does that bother you so much? I'm not now!" I shouted.

"It's the fact you were impatient and didn't wait, and now I won't be your first love. You'll always have memories of him that I don't want to be there."

"Darius..." A car swerved in front of us while he was distracted. "Darius look out!" I shouted.

A\N: I mean, the ending's kinda weird but I needed it to end. I'm tired and I needed to upload and I wanted a cliffhanger. It's a lot shorter than the other chapter bc it's 2 AM and IM TIRED.
