"What?" I asked him. I didn't need help, especially not from this guy. Just because he was hot does not mean that I should trust him.
"I think you heard me." He points out almost annoyed. I let out a deep breath, pushed him and continued down the trail. I didn't get far. He gripped my elbow hard. Yeah, that was going to bruise later on. Thats if this dude doesn't kill me.
I tried to squirm out of his iron like grip, but he just squeezed harder. "O-ow, stop your hurting m-me."
"Don't run. It's useless. Besides you'll die out here by your self. And I promise not to kill you." Again he exclaimed in an annoyed tone. He let go of my elbow and I rubbed the red spot.
I mean the guy had a point, but he could be some crazy axe murderer or something. But I had better chances of running with him than by myself.
"Okay, I'll come with you but promise me that you wont hurt me." I said. That last part was lame I mean if he wanted to kill me, and toss me in the stream, the last thing he would do is tell me, am I right?"Good, now follow me." He turned to the side and walked away from the stream.
"Wait, aren't we supposed to stay close to a water source or something?" I asked him.
"Yeah, but there's nothing there. You keep walking straight and thats the end. A road where the cops will find you, arrest you, and then send your little ass to jail."
I didn't reply As I just followed him.
As we were walking I stared at his back, the strong muscles flexing. God, how I wish he were shirtless right now. I looked at his butt. Wow, he has a nice butt, I thought to myself.
"Are you staring at my ass?" He asked me chuckling.
"Nope, why would I? Its nothing I've never see before." I stated.
He looked back at me raising his eyebrows in a questioning way. Then continued walking.
After a few minutes I got bored and threw a rock at him. He turned and caught it before it hit him. I was baffled at the sight. How, did he do that?
"Don't throw rocks at me." His tone had a hint of amusement and anger.
"Okay." I replied.
After a few seconds I threw a twig at his head.
Surprisingly it hit him, he growled and turned his whole body towards me, "What did I say?" He snarled."Y-you said that I shouldn't throw rocks. So I threw a twig." My heart pounded, I shouldn't have done that. He'll probably kill me now, instead of waiting till we're not in the middle of nowhere. He was right in front of me in a split second. Damn this guy was fast. He grabbed my waist and pulled me towards him.
My palms became moist and my heart was running a marathon. "P-please don't kill me, Im so sorry" I squeaked out.
He bent his head towards my face. We were so close I could feel his warm breath on my neck. Goosebumps formed on my arms and legs, I looked into his beautiful eyes. This was it. I was going to die. Now that I think of it, its better than rotting in a prison cell all alone. "Don't. Make. Me. Angry." He said slowly, poison coating his every word.
"Im sorry." I apologized. Then he backed away a few inches and smirked.
"Your punishment is later, my love." I think I threw up a little in my mouth. My love? What is that supposed to mean. And punishment? What have I gotten myself into?
Then he turned and walked away, me right behind him. After a while he sat down so I copied him. I took out my duffle bag and munched on an energy bar. I broke off a piece and handed it to the guy. I ate it quietly.
The silence became uncomfortable so I decided to ask him a few questions. "Whats your name?" I asked politely.
"Gavin. Gavin Grey." I liked his name. It rolls off the tongue smoothly.
"My name is Iris Fletchers. Nice to meet you Gavin Grey." He just looked at me not saying anything.
I got up from the spot I was sitting in and grabbed a bottle of water and gulped it quickly. After I'd emptied it, I threw him my last bottle.
He drank a few sips and gave it back to me. "Thats it? Your not thirsty?" I asked him."When you spend most of your time in the woods, you kinda get used to it." He shrugged. I muttered an Oh, okay and grabbed a sweater and a pair of jeans.
I walked over to the biggest tree and hid behind it. As quick as I could I switched my dirty sweater and pants for cleaner ones. Once I finished, I grabbed the dirty clothes and shoved them into my bag.
Hopefully I can find a stream or river to wash them in. Zipping up my bag, Gavin stood up and threw my bag over his broad shoulders."I can carry that you know." I told him reaching for my bag. He just swatted my hands away and told me to follow him.
Walking through the dense growth, I tripped and was about to fall until a strong pair of arms, reached out and grabbed me. Wow, how cliche was that. I thought to myself.
He looked at me and then his eyes flickered over to my lips them back again. I pulled away from his tight embrace and brushed off the dirt from my pants.
"Careful." He warned me and walked away."
