Kraig and Angelica Knight stood in the middle of the living room waiting for all of us to sit down, Angelica had bright blue eyes and her blonde hair was tied tight into a bun on the top of her head. Kraig had dark brown hair and intense gray eyes it was clear where Kurianna and Lucian got there looks.  Angelica had on a long bright blue dress and Kraig had on a all dark suit.“I hate that the first time we get to meet you Kenna is under these circumstances but I’m sure we will have time to get to know you.”Kraig said once we were all seated.

“Thanks you.” I replied softly as Lucian slid his hand into mines.

“Well let’s get down to it then.” He replied clearing his throat.

Kraig leaned over and handed Lucian a light tan smooth sheet of paper with words written in script neatly printed across it. He scanned it over so quick I didn’t get to see what it said but by his reaction I knew that it couldn’t be good. “They can’t be serious?”

“I’m afraid so.” Angelica answered.

“What is going on?” I asked feeling out of the loop.

“Athena and Nigel have decided to draw up a new clause, one that grants them the rights to our unborn daughter.” Lucian growled.

That was the last thing I was expecting and my heart instantly dropped. “How can they do this I don’t understand?”

Everyone in the room seemed just as shocked and they all waited for Kraig or Angelica to reply. “Elders approved the clause so it official. They believe it is a good way to keep the peace the only way to fight the clause is to challenge it and to challenge the clause.”

“It means you would have to fight Athena and Nigel.” Kurianna continued.

“It’s exactly what they want.” Jay added.

“Yes I’m afraid it is but we do believe that there is someone a lot higher helping make things harder.” Angelica bit out. You could see the anger evident in her eyes.

“What does that mean?” I asked

Angelica smiled at me before answering. “Well you know every realm had a royal council, and then elders. There are thirteen elders and all the head elder and then twelve more. Each elder just like in royal council is represented by the chair they occupy. Each chair begins the level of authority, power and so on that they have in that chair. Second chair is powerful I’m not sure what they she can do actually but Helena Monveer is the woman who holds the second chair for Kisira City.”

Angelica nodded and Kraig smoothed over the front of his suit nervously. “Your mother and I believe that Helena Monveer is out to take our family down. My twin brother Laurence and his wife Cindy were murder months after their wedding and we believe she always had something to do with it. The reports claimed it was lowly rogues who rob and killed them but we never believed it. When we were both fourteen we met two best friends.” Kraig gestured towards his wife as we all waited for him to go on.

“The other woman was Helena Monveer we were young and in love things couldn’t seem to get any better. Until your grandfather Drew decided that Helena wasn’t a suitable mate for Laurence.” Kraig spoke as if he could see it all playing out in front of him.

I could feel Lucian tense up and I rub his hand and he calmed a little. “Helena Monveer father had murder her mother when she was just a baby. That day the Monveer name slowly begin to lose its nobility back then royals were a lot harsher. Helena had come to the city and had been raised by her aunt having no idea of her family’s dark past. When our father realized that things between Helena and Laurence were getting serious he stepped in and went to visit Helena’s aunt.” Kraig added. I could tell it was hard for him to talk about it he couldn’t hide his anger.
