on a cold winter night,the shadow whispered to the light.
why does this hurt,its like an inner fight
consuming all the thoughts and damaging the soul
its like eternal flames,branding with forsaken coal
with the white hot flame and the burning blaze
you tell me once and a hundred times more the pain will never faze
you told me i deserve this pain
though why i do not know,this ache is like a train,
always coming never going,you control me and my every move
I tell you once there is nothing to prove,you control me, you hurt me
my only wish is to be free
the misery, the pain, every ache and every tear

the sadness of my tale only begins here
so listen well and you will hear, the sadness and the reason for my fear
there once was a love that was so sweet
a love so sweet as a winter treat
the love was strong and had great power
but it also bloomed a bright as a flower
but then the love turned bitter, and the angel grew hard at heart
and now here comes the bitter part
the angel just continued to play with the heart of the other shadow
the heart began to wither slow
but the shadow always loved the light despite the pain
the shadows love for the light died in vain
the light shall never know
but the shadows love continues to flow
so tell me why, my dearest light
did your heart grow so tight.
Dearest light, free me from this bond of torture
tell me now are you so sure
that you haven't killed me yet
all because of that stupid bet
all the pain ha killed me slow
so dearest light I want you know
I have let go of all the torture and strain
I'll let you know my heart is slain
but i am happy with the peace
for I've found a love i know will never cease.
