"Hey" Manik greeted as he entered the house and Nandini closed the door behind.

She had messaged him the next day to meet her after work to which he instantly agreed. Navya had gone to Cabir's house where the rest were to give them some alone time.

"Can we go to my bedroom?" She asked nervously.

"Bedroom!" He exclaimed raising his eyebrows mischievously earning a glare from her.
"Sorry" he smiled sheepishly and followed her. He was more than happy that she was ready to talk to him after three whole days.

"I'm sorry for my behaviour in the last few days" she apologized with her head lowered on reaching the room. "I should have given you a chance to talk..but I guess now is the time...tum bolo" she said and he sighed.

"I'm glad you chose to talk.." he began. "Nandini..all I want is you, by my side. See, I know how you must be feeling, but are you sure this is what you want? This ignorance, this distance, it's hurting you as much as it's hurting me. At least give me a chance, give US a chance..look Nandini, I tried..I tried staying away from you but I failed..yeah..I've realized I can't live without you. Tumse baat kiye bina, tumse mile bina..mein nahi rehsakta aise..aadat hogayi hai muje tumhari..zarurat hai muje tumhari..and Nandini" he made her sit on the bed and knelt down in front of her holding her hands.
"I want you to know that, I DON'T LOVE YOU BECAUSE I NEED YOU, I NEED YOU BECAUSE I LOVE YOU"

Tears welled up in her eyes blurring her vision. She had attentively listened to what he had to say and after hearing his words, seeing his selfless love, she cursed herself for pushing him away. She blinked to hold her tears back but a drop eventually fell on his hand which was holding hers.

"Nandini" he cupped her face making her look at him. He wiped her tears and shook his head gesturing her not to cry.
"I promise Nandini, mein tumhe kuch nahi hone dunga..I'll be there with you at every step, whenever and wherever. Let's fight this? Together?"

She was indeed lucky to have him by her side. She smiled between her tears and caressed his cheek.
"We will. Together" she said and a smile appeared on his face.

Nandini stood up and he followed her actions.
"I'm so sorry Manik. I never wanted to hurt you, I'm sorry for keeping you away. I don't know what I was thinking, I'm so stupid"

"Haan, woh toh tum ho" he faked sadness and she lightly punched him. He chuckled and pulled her close holding her arm.
"You know, sometimes it takes being away from someone for a while to realize how much you really need them in your life, and I actually went through it" he said and her lips curved into a smile. "No actually..YOU made me go through that"

"Manik" she pouted and tried to move away but instead he pulled her more closer.

"Don't ever do that again" he warned and she nodded. They looked at each other for a moment before she crashed onto his chest and he wrapped his arms around her as though securing her from all the evils.

Her head on his chest, right next to his heart. His chin on her forehead. Both their eyes closed and smiles on their faces. After a long time, they were at peace, finding solace in each other.

Next morning, Nandini was pacing to and fro in one of the corridors, tension clearly written on her face. Just then, Manik popped up.

"Hey, what's up?" He greeted and she looked at him. All of a sudden, her eyes twinkled and she held his hand.

"Manik come with me"
