Okay so first of all, if you haven't read the description, THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS.
Alright, on with the review.
So I read this book a few months ago but it was one of my all time favorite books ever so I had to do a review on it.
My new main OTP is Nicholetta. They're so perfect together, so I will take this time to go over some of my favorite Nicholetta scenes.
1. Of course when they first kiss in England during the blitz
2. The time in the jungle
3. In the hospital when Nicholas was stabbed by that kidnapper
I actually have a fan art which I will insert now done by a tumblr user called meabhdOkay, on from Nicholetta. I'm just gonna talk about the main storyline. I thought it was really interesting how the time travel was done out. How you can't go back to a time that you've already been to and how you can't really alter the future.
I thought the coolest part was when she me the younger Alice.Next I'll talk about how b*tchy that crew member was ( I can't remember his name at the moment and I don't currently have the book with me as I'm on vacation in Florida, but I will update this story when I get back and put in his name). I just wanted to punch him. It was kind of funny when Etta stood up to him though, because he wasn't expecting her to speak up, as she was just a female.
Next up to discuss is how I was almost beginning to tolerate Sophia BUT THEN she just HAD to back stab her. I mean, I guess that she was scared because of the leader guy (I think they called him the grandfather?).
Oh and I forgot to mention how the beginning of passenger, where Sophia was taking her to the revolutionary war was a bit weird because nobody knew what was happening, but I guess that's how Etta felt.
Also the end where Etta just vanished was really weird. I was wondering how the heck she had died, and where those guys came from to shoot her and it was all in all disorientating.
Anyways, those are my reviews on passenger and I cannot wait until Wayfarer. I was so excited when I read the wayfarer description! I will put it here so if you haven't read to yet, you can and be as excited and anxious as I am!
All Etta Spencer wanted was to make her violin debut when she was thrust into a treacherous world where the struggle for power could alter history. After losing the one thing that would have allowed her to protect the Timeline, and the one person worth fighting for, Etta awakens alone in an unknown place and time, exposed to the threat of the two groups who would rather see her dead than succeed. When help arrives, it comes from the last person Etta ever expected—Julian Ironwood, the Grand Master's heir who has long been presumed dead, and whose dangerous alliance with a man from Etta's past could put them both at risk.
Meanwhile, Nicholas and Sophia are racing through time in order to locate Etta and the missing astrolabe with Ironwood travelers hot on their trail. They cross paths with a mercenary-for-hire, a cheeky girl named Li Min who quickly develops a flirtation with Sophia. But as the three of them attempt to evade their pursuers, Nicholas soon realizes that one of his companions may have ulterior motives.
As Etta and Nicholas fight to make their way back to one another, from Imperial Russia to the Vatican catacombs, time is rapidly shifting and changing into something unrecognizable... and might just run out on both of them.
