Mum woke up later that morning. The first thing that she saw was me crying my eyes out.
"Are you hungry and thirsty?"
A faint voice from behind me began.
"Mmm" I mumbled under my breath. I turned my head to look at mum. She was crying too.
"What's wrong mum?" I ask stupidly, already knowing why she's crying. She's crying because she can't go and get the food and drink for us, and she knows it.
"Darling..." Her quiet voice started.
"I think that..I think that..." Her voice started to crack.
"I don't think I can get the stuff today"
"...or ever again" at this point I go towards my mum and sit with her. Her warm hands wrap around me,warming my heart.
"I know mum" I mumble without hesitation.A silence between me and my mum haunted us for about twenty minutes and then I decided to talk.
"I'm going to do it!"
By now I had finally plucked up the courage to tell mum that I was going to do it. I was quite proud of myself actually, I can do it! I thought. I will never give up! I look at mum, she is staring at me as if I have just told her I was going to kill myself.
"Mum?..." I say carefully hoping she won't tell me off. Her fists are clenched getting tighter and tighter. Is she going to punch me?
