Althea came running into the living room. "What is going on in here?"

Alex looked at her with his cocky grin, " I snapped Enid's neck and before you yell yes I had a good reason to."

"Oh, Alex, we have company. I didn't realize. Hi, Jasmine my dear how are you?"

Alex watched his mother go over and give Jasmine a hug. Jasmine hugged his mother back with a smile on her face. If anyone could make Jasmine feel safe it would be his mother. That woman's instinct to love and be gentle was the reason why him and the rest of his family existed.

Jasmine whispered in Althea's ear, "I am scared, Alex won't hurt me will he?"

Alex scoffed at the question, hurt her? Hell, I am head over heels in love with her already. Why would I hurt her? That is it I am just going to come out and tell her.

"Alex, be careful." The warning came from Demetri.

Alex walked over to Jasmine and took her hand. "Jasmine, you are the most beautiful woman I have laid eyes on in my whole entire life which is approximately 2,700 years. You essence contains everything that makes me happy. You smell of lilacs my favorite scent, your eyes are like the sea my favorite place to be and your heart is kind and caring just like my favorite person. Jasmine you are my mate. Supernatural creatures only have one person in their lifetime and you are mine. I have been searching for you for years. Please don't say anything I know this is all crazy but you must feel the pull towards me. If you cannot accept being my mate I understand and I will send you away. I will have my mom erase your memories of my brother, me and even the bad things that happened to you then we will replace them with anything you want. I will give you time to think about this but until you have made your choice you aren't allowed to leave here. I am sorry. "

Alex closed his eyes imagined his home and vanished. When he opened his eyes he was on the porch of his home staring at the ocean. The moon was full and let enough light shine so he could see the waves hitting the beach. What had he done? Now Jasmine was going to hate him even more. He felt the pull of someone trying to come into his head and let the mind link open up.

"She is not scared brother. Come back."

"Sure she isn't. In her eyes I am a monster. Nothing more"

"She doesn't think you are a monster. I can read her thoughts brother. She is just as attracted to you, as you are her. In fact she thinks you don't want her."

"Why, I just told her she is my mate?"

"Than you vanished. Who is running away now brother?"

Alex growled and closed the mind link between him and his brother. He hadn't stayed at his family's house in a long time. How hard could it be? Kaimi and Lily were away so he wouldn't really have to deal with them. Before he could get a chance to go back home he felt the energy of someone coming to him and before they had arrived he could smell lilacs. Within seconds his brother and Jasmine had appeared.

"She asked me to bring her to you."

Jasmine looked up at Alex and smiled, "I have decided that I would like to stay."

Alex's mouth went dry and he didn't think anything in the world would make it moist again. He walked over to Jasmine and placed his lips on hers. The gesture was simple and sweet. He didn't want to rush things with her. His inner demon was content with just being near her.

"Thank you for giving me a chance. I promise I won't hurt you."

"Um, mother wants to know if you are coming back to the house or if you are going to stay here or some where else? If so she wants to go back and clean the apartment out. The stuff she put in your apartment was from here."

Alex laughed inside his head. No wonder the stuff had seemed familiar to him.

"Don't worry Alex, your mom explained to me that I am not able to go back into my world for awhile. She said with your confession that other people might be looking for us now as you broke the law. She said she has your dad working on it."

"Where would you like to go? This is my home away from home. Here we are on our own private island. We have the beach, sun and warmth. At my parents house we have autumn, cool weather and the forest. The choice is yours sweetheart or we can go anywhere else but there is less protection."

"Dear brother you say that as if you aren't the strongest thing alive on this planet."

Jasmine gasped. "Are you really the strongest thing alive?"

"Yes maybe not physically but I have many powers that most don't seem to have. We have never found out why but I do. Brother, when they come for us and they will it is better to have numbers."

"Why will the come for us?"

"Well sweetheart, my jaan(soul-mate in Persian) you are my mate, we are not fully mated and I told you about our secret. You can only tell your mate once she has agreed to be you as a girlfriend or some sort of thing."

"How do you know about this?"

Not wanting to tell his mate that it had happened to him before, "it happens all the time."

"Oh ok, well I choose your parent's house then. Autumn is my favorite time of the year. I love the cool crisp mornings and watching the leaves change colors. Oh, plus I love anything with pumpkin flavor." Her stomach growled and both Alex and Demetri both started laughing.

"Didn't you feed her the spaghetti like I told you."

"I tried but she wanted to know what I was. Shall we have take out food or would you prefer me to cook?"

Both of Jasmine and Demetri look at him if he was joking or not, "you cook."
