Alexandra's P.O.V.
I'm almost ready when I heard my phone ring.
Melissa: We are outside :)
The message reads and I rapidly put my heels on.
Me: coming.
I grab my phone and walk downstairs. My dad isn't home yet so I text him.
Me: hey dad, just to remind you that I'm going to the party right now. See you later.
I send the message and instantly get a text back.
Dad: okay darling, take care and I expect you to be home at 1am as we agreed.
Me: yes dad don't worry, I'll be home at that time. Promise.
I close the front door and walk towards Natalie's car.
"Hey, you look good." Mellisa says smiling.
"Mm thanks." I smile awkwardly and look down at my outfit. I can't possibility look good with just skinny jeans and a black tank top. She's probably lying.
It's not my fault that I don't believe the compliments that people say about me. And I can't help but feel ten times uglier when people say stuff like that to me.
"Are you okay?" Melissa asks when she notices my change of expression.
"Mm yeah." I fake a smile. And I know she notices the smile was fake but I don't care.
"So, are you ready girls?" Natalie says lighting the car.
I forgot she was also here.
"Yeah." I say pretending to be excited.
After 15 minutes we finally arrive to the party and when we enter the house the music is too damn load and there's stupid teenagers everywhere. And that's when I remember why I don't like coming to parties on the first place.
I instantly regret coming here.
"Hey mm, I think I better go." I yell to Melissa in her ear since the music is to loud.
"What?" She asks confused.
"I don't feel really well." I lie.
"But-"
"She came." Jack interrupts appearing next to me with Nolan following behind him.
"I told you she would." Nolan says giving me a smile and walks closer to me.
What catches me of guard is when he starts hugging me.
"I'm glad you came" he says in my ear.
I instantly tense.
When I look away to see Melissa she's nowhere to be found. And so is jack.
"Mm yeah." I say hugging back only to not look rude.
When he finally stops hugging me, he smiles at me again.
Is he drunk or what?
"So, so you want a drink?" He says and takes my hand but I remove it instantly which leaves him with a confused expression.
"Mm no thanks, I don't drink." I smile trying to act like nothing is happening.
"Well that's sad."
"Yeah..." I say awkwardly. "Well, I see you on Monday." I turn around.
"Wait, are you leaving already?" He asks stopping me by my arm.
"Yeah, I don't feel well." I lie again.
"Awe that's bad. I hope you feel well soon." He smiles.
"Thanks." I smile back.
"I see you on Monday then." He smiles releasing my arm.
"Sure."
He smiles again and starts walking away.
"Wait.." I yell and he turns around to face me again. "Where is the bathroom?"
I really need to pee.
"It's upstairs to the left." He smiles.
"Thanks." I smile back and start walking away.
Sweaty bodies choke with me as I try to walk to the bathroom. When I finally reach it I lock the door.
When I finish to do my business I walk out of the bathroom and head downstairs.
I'm walking downstairs when I see him, well I think I see him.
Cole? I ask to myself.
He can't possibility be here, right?
I instantly accelerate my speed to try to catch him.
He's walking to damn fast. And I can't help but start to cry.
I see him walking towards the backyard and I rapidly walk after him. But when I'm finally at the backyard he's nowhere to be found.
That's when I shake my head.
I'm just hallucinating. He obviously isn't here. What was I thinking? That he would be here after all these months? That he would be looking for me?
I'm so pathetic. After all he has done, I still want to see him.
I dry my tears and walk back into the house and I see Nolan in the kitchen. I enter the kitchen and approach him. And when he sees me he looks surprised.
"Hey...I thought-"
"Give me a drink." I smile interrupting him.
He looks a little confused but after a few seconds he smirks.
