"What! David oh my God. What happened?" I shrieked into the phone.

"Mom and dad were taking Mary to lifeguard at Camp Wegesegum again and they got in a car crash and they died," he said through the phone. I could tell he was crying but I didn't want to say anything about it.

"Do you want to fly out to Toronto? I can't really afford to take more time off or else I would come. Oh my gosh David I can't believe this is happening," I rambled to him.

"I'll come to Toronto. I just cannot go to their funerals. It's too painful. I know that makes me a bad brother and son, but I'm alone now and I need someone. I'll book a ticket tomorrow," he said sniveling.

"No David I'll book your flight tonight and email you your ticket. Really don't worry about it. I'll talk to you later okay?"

"Alright, love you Luce," he said.

"I love you too David," I said as I hung up.

Then there was a knock on my door, and I opened it up to both Josh's standing there.

"Sorry if you heard me shriek, it was kind of an important thing," I said to them.

"That's not why we're here, you didn't even tell us you were coming back!" Josh Thole whined.

"Oh you two come here?" I said opening my arms and both of them hugged me at the same time.

"You didn't even text us while you were gone," JD complained.

"I was so busy and having such a good time I forgot to text you guys. Sorry," I said.

"You forgot about us!" He said faux hurt.

"Get over yourself JD," I said rolling my eyes.

"Wanna come to BP?" Thole asked.

"Hell yes! I'm down for a BP!" I exclaimed running to my room to get my gear.

We all walked to Rogers Center together. Laughing about the nonsense that came out of Donaldson's mouth.

I sat in the clubhouse tying my cleats when Gibby called me to his office.

I was nervous because I didn't know what he wanted. I walked in slowly because I wanted to be quiet.

"There's my girl Lucy!" He exclaimed at the sight of me.

"Yeppers that's me!" I said trying to sound chipper.

"Listen kid I just called you in here to make sure you were doing okay, so are you doing okay kiddo?"

"Yes those two weeks off were just what I needed. I'm better now and just wanted to come hit some balls and stuff, I've missed the ballpark," I told him.

"Go have some fun kid, see you in the morning," he said laughing.

I left his office and grabbed my bat walking into the dugout, taking in everything. I sure have missed this place.

I walked over to the cages and hit three over the wall. I heard the Josh's cheering me on to hit another one. And I did.

"It feels good to be back boys," I said after I sent my fifth ball over the wall.

"We're glad to have you back," they said hitting the switch to open the roof.

"Hit one out of the park," Thole demanded.

"I'll try," I said shrugging.

I squared up to the plate and swung with all of my might. There was an exploding sensation in my arms as I sent the ball sailing out of the park.
