Sarah's POV

I walked into school wearing leggings and my Tyga concert shirt with me Tyga bomber jacket over it. I walked to my locker, avoiding everyone possible, and grabbed my materials for first period.

"Hey, so are you and Dylan broken up?" Avery asked.
"It's complicated," I shrugged.
"Oh, well he's telling everyone that you guys broke up. Doesn't surprise me," she smirked, looking at my locker.
"Doesn't surprise you?" I questioned defensively.
"Well I told you that he wanted sex. After that, he leaves. Was it worth it?" She questioned, eyeing me.
"Shut the hell up Avery. You don't know what's happening and you won't know what's happening. As a friend, you should be supportive right now. But no, you're too worried telling me that you 'told me so'. Go the hell away," I said, slamming my locker door. Everyone turned heads when I slammed my locker.
"You just fucked with the wrong person, Sarah. Watch your back," she threatened, getting in my face. I rolled my eyes and walked to my homeroom.

After third period, I walked to lunch. I grabbed a salad and looked for a seat. Avery and her clique were watching me. Dylan was sitting with his jocks, totally oblivious to my existence. I saw Sophia sitting by herself at the end of the lunchroom.

I walked passed Avery and ignored their little snide comments. Sophia was eating her lunch when I sat down.

"Is it okay if I sit here?" I asked.
"Yeah, but if you're here to make fun of me for Avery you can go away," she said. She was wearing a white shirt with a black skull on it. Light colored skinny jeans, and white Vans to match. Her hair was lightly curled and she had a small bit of makeup on.
"No, I'm actually here to ignore them. They're really mean to me now," I sighed.
"Yeah. She's so mean to me too. But, that's what happens when you mess with Dylan, I guess," she moved her food around with her fork.
"But she needs to understand that Dylan doesn't like her anymore. It's over."
"What Avery wants, Avery gets. Now that you and Dylan are broken up, she'll make her move. She's sneaky like that," Sophia looked at me for a second.
"Dylan and I never officially broke up. I guess he's just telling everyone we did," I whispered.
"What happened?"
"It's a long story. And I can't talk about it here," I said, looking around at all the people.
"Do you want to go to the bathroom or something? Avery and Holly are walking over here," she said. I looked over my shoulder and sure enough, Avery and Holly were getting up to come over here.
"No, we can't run away. We can't let them think that we're scared," I said, "just sit here and eat your food."

Avery sat beside me and Holly sat beside Sophia.
"What do you want?" I asked Avery.
"I just want to see what my two favorite people are talking about," Avery smiled, looking at Holly.
"It's not any of your business what we do," I said.
"Oh honey, everything's my business," Avery glared.
"What is this? A salad? Are you trying to lose weight? It's too late, you're already fat," she said, dumping my food on the floor.
"Avery, stop!" I complained.
"Shut up. Nobody cares," Holly chimed in.
"Leave them alone and go sit down with your preppy friends," Dylan said, walking up to us.
"Dylan, we're just trying to talk to our friends," Avery said.
"They don't need you. Go away," he said. Avery and Holly rolled their eyes and walked away.
"Are you guys okay?" He asked.
"Yeah, we're good," I said. He nodded and started walking away.

"Wait, Dylan," I called. I got up and walked over to him.
"I'm sorry about Thailand-"
"No. Don't even go there, I'm done. You made me wait for almost a week. I've had enough of it," he said.
"Please, I want you. I want to stay with you," I pleaded. He grabbed my cheeks and kissed me slowly.
"Goodbye Sarah," he walked back to his seat. I wiped the tears that were forming and sat back down beside Sophia.
