I waited and waited. It was more then 10 minutes since she left me here, in the living room. My ears sensed the sound of raining.

Bad luck.

You should check up on her.

Yeah, I know. I made a move to climb up the staircase rather slowly and cautiontly, afraid of making a slight sound.

But then the thunder storm were banging and banging like they were fighting with each other.

I stood like a fool on the hallway. The landscape of mine and her house were the same. It only had two rooms, but I don't know which one were hers.

I went to the room on my left and twisted the door knob. A dark room welcomed me. I switched on the lights to see a pastel coloured room. I walked looking around without a reason to be truthful.

I saw a family picture at a birthday party. An unknown girl was wearing a party hat as she blew the candle light from the cake. I could recognize Jiae next to her, smiling happily showing her gums and their parents on their backs also having a happy time.

The room was neat with all the books, dolls and clothes put up nicely. It definitely was a girl's room. But I felt a familiar vibe in the room.

It felt nobodoy had stayed here for a long time.

Just like my brother's room.

Then I remembered Jiae had said she had a older sister. This must be her room then, but what had happen? Did she left?

Jiae. She needs someone.

I quicken up my phase to the next room, I hastily twisted the door knob and was in a dim lighted room.

It was a mess.

The broken room lamp was on the floor, clothes and paper were scattered around the room, the furniture were not on their respective places and were broken.

Its like someone had broke in.

Then my attention moved towards a figure crouched down on the bed. Loud and pained sobs were heard. Her shoulders went up and down and her hair was a mess.

It was so painful to see.

I walked closely to the figure, clueless on what to do.

Comfort her, stupid.

I sighed and crouched down behind her. I wanted to do something, but I never did it before, with anyone even my parents.

I want to hug her,

But I only tooked out my hand and fixed up her hair, smoothing it. She stiffed maybe only now noticing my presence. I patted her back. This is comfort right?

What happens next, shocked me.

Jiae turned around fastly and hugged me tightly, a feeling like she doesn't want to let go of me, a feeling that she needs me.
She continued crying and muttering the things that I could barely hear, she buried her head into my embace.

And the only thing I could do was hugged her back carefully like she was a fragile that had already broke, and caressed her back. It felt overwhelming.

"They left me...."

"I don't know what to do...."

"I really can't accept this"

She kept repeating those words, she was startled a little when the lightning burst too.

"I think we should go home, it's more safe. You can stay with us for the time being, until you make a decision on what to do" I was choosing my words very, very carefully.

Her sobbing turned into soft whimpers as she let go of me and I felt her lost.

And now I regret it.

She looked down as she stood up. She stumbled a little, and I quickly got up to took her hand in mine.

"Jiae, keep your head back together" it's a thing that I always say as the captain whenever my team mates looks a little off.

"Go pack some things that you need."

She nodded weakly and went to her closet. I followed behind and saw her suitcase on the top of the closet. I reached it before her, put it down and unzipped it for her.

Jiae didn't say anything and kept rummaging through her stuff. She wasn't thinking straight, she literally threw all her clothes in her bag.

Surprisingly it fit. I zipped it as she went to her shelf. She was holding a backpack and again put all the things in it.

It really looks like she wants to move out from here. forever.

The only thing left in the room were photo frames of their family and her, her dolls and some story books.

I helped her with her suitcase and her backpack so she didn't have to carry anything as we went out of the room and make way back to the living room.

She looked around and I could see the sadness in her swollen eyes due to much crying. Jiae was not in a great condition right now, I understand that.

Goodness, the rain wadn't that bad from before .

I was more worried of her things and her as we step out from the house. I looked at her worriedly.

"You okay with the rain?" She again only nodded weakly.

Jiae gave a long last glance at the house. It was too pitiful that I had to close the door for her. She faced me and only know I got a good view of her. Her eyes were puffy. Her eyes and nose were red. Her lips were swollen maybe she kept biting it.

I tried to smile comforting her as I took her hand with my free hand and pulled her as we walked silently in the rain.

It was cold as the rain drops kept falling onto us but her hand was icy cold.

We arrived in front of my house with the light still on. Grandpa still hasn't sleep.

I knocked on the door and panicked when I felt Jiae was shivering a little.

"YAH-" Grandpa shouted and wanted to nag but stop when he saw the condition we were in. He was surprised. Very.

Grandpa made a way and Jiae sprinted upstairs, looking down.

Both of us looked at her back as she disappeared from our view. Grandpa looked at me wanting an explanation.

I went in, closed the door and put away her stuffs on the living room thinking another time to put it into her room, she needs time for herself.

I sighed and looked at Grandpa helplessly that I felt the urge to cry because seeing her like this.

"Her parents.... left her"
