"Okay!! All the bags are inside!"
Suwoong calls out to our manager who's settled in the driver's seat. Our manager in turn looks to Wonjun-hyung for confirmation. He knows better than to trust the evil maknae."All the bags are inside" our leader repeats and our manager is satisfied. Once everyone is inside the car and settled, he starts the long drive back to Seoul. This time Sungjun and I are forced to sit in the back seat after much complaints from the former back seat passengers. It was their own fault for trying to be sneaky.
Thirty minutes into the drive and they're on again, singing at the top of their lungs. I join them too, this time more willingly. Sungjun finds it necessary to saranade me with every song that comes on while the others watch us with that I know what you two did last night type of look. Even though Wonjun-hyung was the only one that caught us -Im still thanking whatever celestial being was watching over us that it was him and not some random hotel guest that decided they wanted to take a late night swim- but knowing him, he probably told the others. At least this way it saves me the trouble of trying to explain and turning into a talking tomato.
After an hour drive we decide to stop for food. The only thing nearby is a small grocery store. We'll just have to settle for whatever is there. It's decided, through Kai-bai-bo of course, that Dabin and Sungjun go with our manager to get snacks. The rest of is get to wait in the car.
Not a minute after they've left, Suwoong turns to look at me. "So hyung, what happened last night" the smirk on his face clearly states that he already knows. I attempt to hit him but he moves further away with a laugh.
"I told you!"
"Yeah, yeah, I know. I know"
I don't really mind admitting it this time. He was right all along. Not that it matters now, but had I listened to him and confessed sooner it would have saved us all a lot of trouble.
"okay I brought a bunch of everything!" We all look up to see Sungjun with his arms full of food. What a sight.
"Were you planning to feed an entire army??" Wonjun laughs. It is a massive amount of food, but tis probably all going to be gone within an hour.
"Well basically!" He shoves everything inside and crawls back into his seat with a small box that I can't quite figure out what it has inside.
"What's that?" He opens it up and shows me the contents. "Sushi?"
"Yup! This is the kind you like, right?"
There I go again, smiling like an idiot with no control over my facial muscles.
"Yeah that's the one"
He smiles too and pulls one out "great then I can eat them all!" He says before taking a bite out of it.
"Ahh, jinjja!"
He laughs loudly, as usual, and pulls out another, holding it up for me to eat. I half expect him to pull it away at the last minute and eat it, but he doesn't. "Sushi for my Sushi!"
Suwoong makes a disgusted face. "Gross, get a room"
Eventually, Dabin and our manager get back with the drinks and we're back on the road. One third of the trip is spent driving our manager insane. Another third is spent eating the outrageous amount of snacks that were bought and the last third was spent sleeping. Just like last time, I was the last one to fall asleep. For a while I just watched Sungjun while he slept on my lap because apparently the back seat was too cramped. I couldn't help but think about where things will go from here. It's going to be hard. Our friends and family will wonder why we're not dating any girls. We cam only use the excuse of our busy schedules for so long. But in the end, I just push it all to the back of my mind. There's a subtle heavy feeling in the pit of my stomach when I think about what might happen if this all went wrong, but I can deal with that later. Right now isn't the time. Right now I just want to watch him sleep.
