I can't help feeling like I'm missing out on my teenage experience
doesn't everybody have that one love story
the one they wish they had gotten a second chance to do right
or the one they hoped could've lasted for a lifetime
I want a love story like that
I don't care if it ends in heartbreak
hearts are meant to be broken and I know that
but I want one I can look back on and smile
knowing I loved somebody so carelessly
that once upon a time, I had thought I'd have a happy ending
and even if I didn't get one
I would still be happy I got a chance to feel like that
all airy and on top of the world
feeling like nothing could bring me down
that everything would all be okay
and only then, all my troubles felt miles away
I don't know if I'm dreaming too hard
wishing for a fairytale
but I want to know what it feels like
to hear those three words
and know that he means it
I want my chance at a love story
even if it's just for a day.
