Officially More Trouble...

*Two Weeks Later*

Diggy's POV

Corahn, Jason, Chase, & I have been suspended for two weeks. Today will be our first day back. I haven't spoken to Yn since the day of the fight. I'm going to try to talk to her today.

I got up, did my hygiene routine I do everyday, and headed downstairs. I made myself a bowl of Frosted Flakes. When I was done, I went to check on my mom, who was still asleep. We haven't talked much, either. I'm going to try to talk to her tonight.

I grabbed my keys and book bag and walked out of the door.

*A Few Minutes Later*

Once I got to school, I quickly got out to look for Yn. I quickly spotted her talking to Minnie. When she saw me, she ran up to me and hugged me. I picked her up and spun her around.

She let go after a few minutes. "Don't you ever scare me like that again!"

I smiled. "I'm sorry bae."

She smiled too. Damn, she's so beautiful. "How's your cheek? Is it doing any better?"

I shrugged. "It's alright, I guess. The swelling has gone down a little bit."

I quickly turned my attention to Minnie. "Where are my manners? What's up Minnie?"

She smiled. "Hey Dig. How have you been?"

"Good, I guess. I've missed you guys. All I've really been doing during suspension was hanging with Corahn." I shrugged.

"Speaking of him, where is he? Is he coming today? I've missed him so much!" Minnie was genuinely concerned.

"He should be here soon. He said so yesterday."

The first bell rang. As soon as it did, Corahn ran over to us. He quickly ran up to Minnie and kissed her. I'm happy for him, he really does care about Minnie. Vise versa.

Yn's POV

We were walking when we saw Taylor. Minnie and I ran up her and hugged her. When we were six years old, the three of us used to be best friends. Then, she moved to New York.

"Oh my goodness! It's great to see you! How have you been?" I asked her.

She smiled harder than ever. She was even prettier than I remembered! "Great! I can't believe it! I've missed you guys so much!"

Minnie smiled. "We missed you too!"

"By the way, this is my boyfriend, Daniel AKA Diggy. This is Minnie's boyfriend, Corahn."

They all said "Nice to meet you" and shook each other's hand.

"This is my boyfriend, Nate. Our families are really close, so they all decided to move back into Chicago together!"

"Wow, that's really cool! Your parents were always the cool ones!" It was true. They were always the coolest and nicest ones.

We then exchanged schedules and discovered we all had the same classes together. I was walking with Diggy. He wrapped his arm around me. Corahn and Minnie were right next to us. Taylor and Nate were right next to them. I was about to say something when these three girls walked up to us. One had purple hair, one had pink, and the other had blue. They were all beyond gorgeous and had unique styles. They seemed like cool people until they started talking.

"Hey baby" the blue-headed girl greeted Daniel. "I'm Zonnique, I just started going here today with Bahja and Breaunna. I was wondering if you wanted to go out sometime."

"I'm Bahja" the pink headed girl greeted Corahn. "I was wondering if maybe you wanted to go to the movie tomorrow?"

"I'm Breaunna" the purple headed one spoke up to Nate. "I like you, you have no reason not to like me, so why don't we each get to know each other a little better?"

Did these disrespectful ass bitches just say all of that? It was as if they didn't even see Dig's arm around me and Corahn's arm around Minnie and Nate's around Taylor! Oh helllll no!

"Ummmmmmm, in case you haven't noticed, all three of them already taken. So you can take y'all thirsty ass on somewhere! Bye!" Minnie was so mad. You could see the steam coming out of her ears!

"Excuse me?" Bahja had spoken up again. "You must not know who we are!"

"We don't give a fuck about who you are! Y'all just need to keep walking and get the fuck out of our faces!" Taylor said to Bahja and Breaunna.

"Or what?" Zonnique challenged, crossing her arms.

"Bitch do you really want to find out?" I asked stepping up to Zonnique while Minnie was stepping up to Bahja and Taylor was stepping to Breaunna. We were now all in each other's face, while the boys were just watching from the side.

"These hoes don't know who their dealing with!" Taylor said.

"Peasant, who asked you to speak?" Breaunna asked Taylor.

"Okaaaaayyyyyy, I think it's time for us to go.... So we'll just be on our way..." Diggy was pulling me away while Corahn was pulling Minnie away and Nate pulled Taylor away.

"Yeah" Corahn added. "We're gonna be late for class." He was still dragging Minnie away as he spoke.

"Yeah, we better get going" Nate said, pulling Taylor.

We all walked to class together.

"What's wrong with y'all?!" Minnie was pissed. "Whenever these hoes try to talk to y'all and y'all are taken by us, we shouldn't have to check these hoes alone! It's your job too!"

I nodded, agreeing with everything she said. "Instead of watching from the sidelines like lost puppies, y'all should have said something!"

"Yeah, that shit was wrong on so many levels" Taylor said.

They quickly got upset that we pinned most of it on them.

Diggy spoke up first. "I can't be disrespectful to a girl! That's not me! It's not like we could hit them!"

Corahn spoke up too. "Yeah, what did y'all want us to do?! Its not like we could just knock them out for trying to flirt with us!"

"We can't control what they say to us." Nate said.

I was getting tired of hearing the excuses. "I understand that, but in a reversed situation, we would have told the niggas that were trying to flirt with us we were taken! We wouldn't have just stood there and let a nigga flirt with us, especially in front of y'all, because it's fuckin disrespectful!" I wasn't holding back at all. They had really pissed me off.

"Y'all are acting like this shit is okay! It's not! You just let those rainbow headed hoes disrespect your girlfriends!" Taylor said.

Minnie, Taylor and I decided to just walk ahead of the guys. We were over the drama and the bullshit. We sat next to each other in first period, even though our boyfriends sit next to us in every class. We just decided to switch up the game and sit next to each other every period. They were pissed off at us, but so what? We were pissed off at them, too!

At the end of the day, Minnie, Taylor, and I were confronted by Zonnique, Bahja, and Breaunna again.

Zonnique was the first to say something. "Well, well, well. Look who we have here girls. The bitches that tried to go there with us this morning!"

"Bitches? I beg your pardon dumb ass hoes!" Minnie shouted.

"Hoes?! Please, think of a more original name for us." Bahja stepped toward Minnie.

"Their right Min, their not hoes" I said. "Just trannies!"

"What did you just say?" Zonnique asked.

"You heard me. Did I stutter?"

"Bitch, watch what the fuck you say to us!" Breaunna warned.

"Or what?" Taylor said while stepping toward her.

There was now a huge crowd gathered around waiting for us to fight. Before I could even blink, Diggy was pulling me away. Nate came up and grabbed Taylor as Corahn grabbed Minnie.

"Alright, everyone, nothing to see here!" Diggy said while the others were pulling their girls away too.

"Yep, they definitely were 'nothing to see'" Zonnique said, making Bahja and Breaunna cackle with laughter and the crowd snicker a little.

I guess Taylor, Minnie, and I all had the same instinct because at the same time, we all tried to break free out of our boyfriends' arms and kill those bitches. It even took some of the crowd to hold us back as well.

When they finally pulled us back and calmed us down, they took us to a restaurant. They each apologized about what happened this morning one by one on front of everyone in the restaurant. They even sang, danced and rapped for us. We were intrigued, not knowing they had such a talented background as far as performing. They got a standing ovation and Taylor, Minnie, and I started crying tears of joy.

They each came up and hugged and kissed us when they were done.

This caused us to do the same for them. When Taylor, Minnie, and I were younger, we always sang and performed together until Taylor moved when we were all ten. We sang "Halo" by Beyonce and got a standing ovation from everyone as well.

"I'm sorry for being so hard on you, Daniel" I said.

"Me too" Taylor and Minnie replied in unison to Nate and Corahn.

They all smiled and kissed us passionately. It was a magical moment.

Since we were already at the restaurant, we decided to eat. When we were done, our boyfriends paid for our meals. After saying goodbye, I decided to drop Minnie and Taylor off at home.

Minnie lived right across the street from me and we discovered that Taylor lived right down the street from us! Wow, this is a huge coincidence! We all decided to hang out with each other tomorrow after school at the mall.

Once Minnie and I dropped Taylor off, I drove to my house. Minnie got out, hugged me, and walked across the street to her house. I walked up to my front door, unlocked it, and walked in.

When I walked in, I saw my mom and a man sitting on the couch. Once he turned around, I discovered it was my dad. Uggggghhhh! Just when I thought I was going to have a close to decent day, he pops up! What does this nigga want?! 😒

I was going to act like I didn't see them at all and go upstairs until my "dad" called my name. "Yn, please. Please, just come here and hear me out."

I rolled my eyes. Damn! Can this nigga just leave me alone! I walked over to him. "What?" I asked, irritation in my voice. I crossed my arms, waiting to hear what he had to say.

"Yn, I know you have every reason to hate me, but I want to be there for you. You have every single reason to say no, but please, just give me a chance." My dad was now on his knees pleading.

I hesitated. "Why do you want to be in my life all of a sudden? It's been sixteen years."

"Because, I know how stupid I was to leave you. Back then, I was selfish and only thought about myself. I want to be there for you and your mom. I'm ready for my responsibility as a dad."

He then held his arms out, waiting for me and my mom to give him a hug. My mom was first to run into his arms. I hesitated for a long time, and finally embraced him. Maybe things will get better for me.

Diggy's POV

Nate turned out to be cool. He fits right in with Corahn and I. Maybe I'm a little happy that Taylor reunited with Yn and Minnie.

Corahn, Nate and I were all just hanging out at my house.

"Can you believe the girls today, yo?" Nate said.

I shook my head. "They really went crazy. I was actually worried about Breaunna, Zonnique, and Bahja, because if we had let Taylor, Yn, and Minnie go, they would have killed them!"

Corahn nodded. "Yeah. I've never seen them act like that. But those rainbow chicks better watch their backs. Evidently, our girlfriends are crazy."

Nate's POV

I can't believe I would ever even have this conversation. Taylor has never acted the way she acted today.

"Well, one thing's for sure, they proved how much they loved us today." I watched as the boys nodded their heads, agreeing with me.

"Yea" Diggy started "I know I made the right choice with Yn. Especially after today."

"Yeah, Minnie was about to beat some ass for me today." Corahn said.

We all started laughing.

"I just got pissed off when they got mad at us" Diggy said. "Then they tried avoiding us the whole day! But they did have a point. We could have done something."

"Yeah, I definitely see where they were coming from today" I stated. "Like they said, they wouldn't have let that happen if it were the other way around."

"We should have thought about that from the very beginning" Corahn said. "At least know we got some ass-kicking girlfriends now."

We all started laughing when he said that. Then, we heard screaming and glass shattering. I looked over at Diggy, who was frozen.

Diggy's POV

My parents have been trying to work things out lately. My dad had moved back in and they were trying to see if they could pick up where they left off. I didn't mention that I was going to have company, which was a bad idea because if I would have mentioned it, they would have tried to act civil for them. That's a mistake I will never make again.

"Justine, shut the fuck up for once!" I heard my dad yell. I winced.

More glass shattered. "Keep your dick in your pants for once!" my mom said in a mocking tone.

Then I heard a thud. At once, the three of us ran upstairs to see what was going on. When we came up, I saw my mom, laid out on the floor. My dad had hit her again.

I stood there, not knowing what to do. I then charged my dad and jumped on him. This knocked him to the ground. I then started beating the shit out of him. Nate and Corahn was trying to get me off of my dad, but I had put up a huge fight. Then they finally got me off, but I tried with all my might to break free.

"Let ME GO! THIS NIGGA AINT FINNA KEEP PUTTING HIS HANDS ON MY MOM! THAT SHIT AINT HAPPENING!" I kept yelling as loud as I could.

My dad looked scared shitless. He quickly got up, with a bloody nose and black eye, and left.

When he was gone, I went to check on my mom. She was still laid out. I checked her heartbeat, it seemed normal. However, she had a huge bruise on her cheek.

"Mom, mom, wake up."

She slowly opened her eyes. Corahn and I helped her up and laid her on the bed. Nate had left the room and came back with a bag of ice and a wet towel. I was so embarrassed that this had happened, not to mention that it happened in front of my friends. When she had fell asleep, we all went back downstairs.

"Thanks, bro" I said to Corahn and Nate.

They just nodded their head and quietly said "No problem." We all said our goodbyes awkwardly and they left. It was probably best for them to leave. I could tell they were worried, but I needed to be alone right now.

I went back upstairs. I sat next to where my mom had been laying at and couldn't help but to shed a few tears. After staying in her room with her for three hours, I went to my room to relax.

Yn's POV

I was at a fancy restaurant with my mom and my dad. I can't believe it. I never thought this day would actually come. My family reunited. I almost forgot how beautiful my mom was because of all the drugs she was doing. Tonight, she looked great! Plus, I was actually smiling! We were actually having a great time together.

After dinner, we went home. My dad stayed the night and it made me feel even happier because it made us seem like even more of a family.

I heard a knock at my door. "Yn, can I come in please?"

I smiled. "Come in, dad."

He walked in and sat on my bed. "I was wondering if you and your mother wanted to go to Niagara Falls on Thursday and come back on Tuesday?"

I got so excited. Then, my ship sank. "I can't, I have school" I said solemnly.

He frowned. "Missing two days of school won't hurt, will it?"

I smiled and hugged. "Thank you so much dad! I can't wait!"

He smiled. "No problem, Yn."

It was Monday. I spent the next two days getting packed up for the trip. I told Taylor, Minnie, Nate, Corahn, & Daniel about my dad returning into my life and about the trip. They were all really happy for me. My mom, dad and I went to take a family picture on Wednsday. I framed mine and put it on my dresser next to my bed.

*Thursday Morning*

I was awakened from my sleep by the sound of noises and whispering. I looked over at my clock. It was 3:23 AM. Why are they up so early? We don't leave until 11:00 AM.

I quietly tiptoed halfway downstairs. My mom and dad were in the kitchen talking without the lights on. Trying not to wake me up, I guess? I listened to what they were saying.

"How could you do this to me and Yn?!" my mom was yelling in a whisper.

"Just do this one favor for me, Melanie! Please, this is all I ask!" My dad was yelling in a whisper as well.

"Mike, I can't believe that I ever faller. for the bullshit you told me about you changing!" My mom was quietly sobbing now. "This is going to tear Yn apart!" She was still yelling in a whisper.

"Please, I can't face her and tell her this myself" my dad had said.

I completely came downstairs and turned on the light. I saw my dad with all his bags packed and he looked like he was leaving. They both looked shocked to see me. "What's going on here?" I asked.

"You made this mess, so you clean it up" my mom said, folding her arms.

My dad sighed, lowering his head. "Yn, we're not going on the trip."

I sighed, relieved. "That's it? Wow I thought it would be something really serious." I smiled. "We can always reschedule it, I guess."

My dad looked up at me, looking very guilty. "No, we can't. I'm not coming back, Yn. Something.... er.... came up. I'm sorry Yn."

My smile faded. I tried to play it off. "Ohh, okay. I see."

"Yn, please be able to understand this."

"No, it's okay. Forget about it." I was so hurt, but I kept my emotions to myself.

He tried to fix everything by smiling. "It was great seeing you, daughter."

I nodded. "It was great seeing you, too, Mike."

He looked disappointed. Did he really expect me for me to call him dad again? I hope not, because it's not happening. He nodded, grabbed his bags, and went out the door.

My mom took out a cigarette and started smoking it. After she was done with that, she took out weed and cocaine. I shook my head in disbelief and went upstairs. I took out my phone and group messages Nate, Corahn, Diggy, Minnie, and Taylor.

*TEXT CONVERSATION*

Yn- Not going to the trip. My dad stood us up left again. I'm not going to school later. Love you guys. Ttyl.

I cried myself to sleep.

*11:30 AM*

I woke up, did my hygiene routine, and got myself dressed. I put on a pair of skinny jeans and an old tee-shirt. I put on black flats and a headband. What's the point of getting all dolled up if I'm not going anywhere? I then sat on my bed and watched TV. I then heard the doorbell ring, multiple footsteps , and a knock on my door.

"Come in" I said, not even asking who it was.

Minnie, Taylor, Corahn, Nate, and Daniel walked in.

"We have school today. What are you guys doing here?" I asked.

"We thought you might need a friend. Are you okay?" Taylor asked. They each came and sat on my bed next to me.

"Why wouldn't I be? It's not the first time he left me. I just wish I hadn't gotten my hopes up so fucking high."

"Yn, it's okay to be upset. You don't have to pretend around us. We're hear for you." Daniel said before pecking me on my lips.

"No really, I'm fine. I've made it this far without him, haven't I? I'm sixteen! I learned how to ride a bike, sing and perform in front of crowds, swim, and drive. When I was in gymnastics, I learned how to get up to be a level ten gymnast. And guess what, it was all without any of his help! And I'm pretty damn good at everything I just said right?"

The room filled with them all saying "Yes, mmhmm, you sure are" and more.

"Sixteen years! I didn't have any type of guidance from him! No 'Good luck, Yn' or 'Be careful, Yn'. For sixteen years, I've seen everyone around with both of their parents, knowing that both of their parents wanted and loved them! Sixteen birthdays have went by, I haven't gotten a call or even a fucking birthday card! Do you want to know why?! Because he doesn't give a fuck about me. He has NEVER have a fuck about me! And you know what? If he doesn't want me, that's fine! I DONT NEED HIM! I NEVER HAVE NEEDED HIM! AND I NEVER WILL NEED HIM! FUCK HIM!!!! TO HELL WITH HIM!!!!!!!!" I yelled as loud as I could. I picked up the family photo and threw it at my door, watching the glass shatter. I then ran out of my room and started throwing all types of glass that I found around the house.

"Yn, stop it! Calm down!" everyone started yelling,trying to calm me down. Diggy held my arms back and tried my hardest to break free, but he was much stronger than me so there was no use. I then slid my back down the wall, crying my eyes out.

"It's okay, Yn" Nate said.

"We're here for you, girl" Minnie said.

"Everything is going to be okay. Don't worry, Yn." Nate told me.

"What's wrong with me, guys?" I asked. "Why doesn't he want me? What did I ever do to him? Why doesn't he love me?" I asked, crying even harder.

"Nothing's wrong with you bae" Diggy said. "You're perfect just the way you are. If he doesn't want you, that's his loss."

I wiped some of my tears. "Thanks, guys. I love you all so much."

They all said "We love you too." We all just sat there on the floor. Then, we all hugged each other. It was just a big group hug on the floor of my living room.

Diggy's POV

We all decided to stay over Yn's house a little longer, just to make sure she doesn't do anything crazy or something she would regret. We talked, ate snacks, and watched movies.

All of us didn't leave until around 9:30. When we all went outside, Zonnique, Bahja, and Breaunna approached us.

"Hey boo" Bahja said to Corahn.

"Ohhhhhh man, not this again." Corahn said aloud.

"Hey bae" Breaunna said to Nate.

"Ummmm... I believe you have the wrong Nate. I'm not your bae."

"Not yet" Bre said to Nate in reply.

"Hey sexy" Zonnique finally greeted me.

"Umm.. Hello. Now goodbye." I said while trying to run to my car.

"What's the rush?" Zonnique said, grabbing my arm.

"You to the hospital is gonna be the rush if you don't get your dirty ass hands off my man!"

Everyone turned to see Yn.

Yn's POV

I was looking out of my bedroom window to make sure everyone made it to their cars and houses safely. Then, I saw Zonnique, Breaunna, and Bahja walk up to them. I quickly put my hair in a messy bun, grabbed some extra hair ties, and ran downstairs and opened the door. I made it just in time to see Zonnique feeling all up on Diggy.

"What's the rush?" Zonnique asked him.

"You to the hospital is gonna be the rush if you don't get your dirty ass hands off my man!" I said.

Everyone turned around and looked at me. I made my way next to Minnie and Taylor, standing in front of Zonnique.

"Oh really? I would love to see you try to send me to the hospital." Zonnique said.

"Oh, you finna see real quick!" Taylor said. I handed her and Minnie the extra hair ties. They quickly put their hair in a messy bun, as well. We all crossed our hands over our chests, waiting for them.

They all had their hair down and right clothing, obviously not prepared to fight. They looked at each other and then back at us. Then, the boys came up behind us, about to hold us all back.

"Y'all ain't even worth it" they said, walking away. "Bye, boo" they all said to our boyfriends.

"Scary ass bitches" I said, loud enough for them to hear. They heard me, but kept on walking.

We looked over at the boys.

"Next time, let us just handle our business. We don't need you guys stopping us while we're in action." Minnie said.

"Agreed. Once I start, those bitches ain't gone have any weave left in their head!" Taylor said.

"And those pretty little faces are going to look like road kill!" I said.

Daniel, Corahn, and Nate didn't say anything. They just nodded. We all hugged each other good night. I gave Dig a goodnight kiss and walked back into the house.

My mom had been at work all day, starting a new job. Judging by the way she's been acting, though, I'm sure it's not going to last long. I sighed, thinking of all the good times we used to have before she started doing drugs. It made me cry a little bit, thinking about how much she's changed breaks my heart. I'm going to see if she will ever consider rehab tomorrow when I get the chance to talk to her.

I locked the door and ran upstairs. I took a shower, put on a pair of shorts and a tank top, and laid down. I turned on my TV and watched a few shows. I didn't go to bed until about 11:30.
