Chapter 4

*Beep* *Beep*

The sound was like being kicked in the head. I opened my eyes up from the darkess of sleep only to wince and blink repeatdly at the low light which shon into the room basically blinding me. Ugh I hate mornings - I am not a morning person.

Especially on the first morning of school. Yes that is right today I am starting a new school with a bunch of complete strangers who I probably will end up disliking and having to put up with for another 3 years.

I got out of bed, annoyed from the sound of Tee's alarm clock waking me up at such an early time; It was only 6:25 and I was already awake to get ready for school. Yet it does take forever to get into the bathroom since their is a lot of people rushing to it.

Tee had got changed into her school uniform and scampered off to the bathroom doing her best not to talk to me or annoy me in the first few minutes of waking up. I got out of bed and got my uniform out the wardrobe: It was a dark blue blazer, a lighter blue shirt with a blue and black striped tie.

Most girls would probably wear a black skirt with the uniform but instead I decided on wearing black trousers. School's normally ask you to wear the skirts like how a nun would wear them. I certainly do not want to look like a nun.

After getting changed into my uniform and straightening my long brown hair, I tyed it up into a high pony tail so that it was out of my face. I glanced in the mirror, feeling satifised with how I actually looked for a change.

Tee entered the room, dressed in her uniform and her hair curled which fell down her shoulders. She beamed a smile at me, coming closer so I could see her reflection in the mirror.

"Are you excited for today?" She questioned, I almost snorted at her question thinking about how stupid she must actually be if she thinks anyone is excited for school.

"Pft who's excited for school" I replied walking out the room and completely ignoring her.  I headed into the bathroom, to wash and brush my teeth. After I headed downstairs to the kitchen where already some of the children were squabbling and arguing about school.

"But I don't want to go back to school today" Moaned Billie and Toni in unison. In all honesty I dont understand why they are complaining anyway they don't even go to high school.

"Tough" may-lee snapped, pouring fresh orange juice into a beaker for - Mo I think his name is. I walked through the room and took a seat next opposite Carmen who glanced up at me. She smiled to me, before taking another spoonful of Cheerio's.

"Do you want me to do your makeup for you?" Carmen asked me, probably confused on why I wasn't actually wearing any makeup.

I raised my eyebrow feeling quite offended by her statment. "Are you trying to say I'm ugly?" I pointed out, taking a piece of toast from the plate and taking a big bite from it.

Carmen flushed a bright red colour of embarassment, Her mouth started to quiver and make awkward sounds which made me smirk almost. "n- u... r-m No that is not what I'm saying"

"I just thought maybe if you wanted to wear makeup you'd feel more confident about your first day" Carmen smiled to me, clearly redeeming herself from her previous word muddle.

"Thanks for the offer" I replied, keeping my tone as blank as possible. "But I think I'm already confident enough as it is"

"Oh" Carmen muttered clearly not happy with my answer but I really couldn't care less what she thought.
