Chapter 3
Lizzy's POV

We left the high school and went around the corner to the middle
school to pick up Max.
When we got there, Max headed over to us with another boy.
"Hey Lizzy!" Max waved. "This is my new friend, Alex. Alex, this is my
big sis, Lizzy."
"Hey Alex!"
"Hey." he replied.
"Can Alex come over today?" Max begged. "He said he texted his parents
and they said they were fine with it."
"Ok, but how is he gonna get home? I know nothing about where he
lives." I reminded him.
"Well we were thinking a sleepover," Alex suggested, "then you could
just take Alex to school tomorrow morning and his mom would get him
then."
"Well, I guess as long as it's ok with his mom, it's ok with me."
Max nodded and Alex smiled, then they gave each other a 'man hug'.
"Max, Alex, this is my friend Madison. Madison, this is my brother,
max and his friend Alex." I introduced
They exchanged greetings, then rode to Madison's house to get her
bathing suit. I was on my motorcycle, and Max, Alex, and Madison were
in Madison's car.
Madison went up to the door and had to knock since she forgot her keys.
A girl with red hair and freckles all over her face answered the door.
She look to be about Max and Alex's age.
Max took notice of her immediately.
"This is my little sister, Aubrey. She's 14," Madison introduced us to
her and walked upstairs to pack her stuff for our sleepover.
Max and Alex ran off with Aubrey and Aubrey's friend, who had been
keeping to the back until then.
I sat on the couch waiting for Madison to come back downstairs so we could go.
"Ehheem."
Someone cleared his throat behind me and I jumped. I looked slowly
over my shoulder and realized it was just Jeremy and his friends. My
heart did a little summersault when I saw Dan, but I ignored it the
best I could.
"What are you doing here?" Jeremy snarled.
"Wow, someone needs an attitude adjustment," I retorted.
"What are you doing here?" Jeremy asked again, a little more impatient
this time.
I was about to answer when Madison finally came down and shooed the guys away.
"Sorry if they were bothering you," she apologized.
I just glared at them while Madison dragged me off to find Max and
Alex so we could leave.

"What the f*ck???!!! I can't find them!" Madison screeched.
"I can't either..." I said, exhausted from running around her huge mansion.
We had split up about 30 minutes ago to find Max and Alex, but so far, no luck.
"We have checked everywhere!" Madison gestured wildly in frustration.
Jeremy walked around the corner with his buddies, probably having
heard our entire conversation.
"Have you looked in the tree fort?" Jeremy asked like it was obvious.
"You know aubrey loves to go up there."
"Yea... Duh.... I knew that! Of course we checked there!" Madison
said, becoming defensive. She ran off to the tree fort to get them.
She didn't check up there did she?" Jeremy guessed after Madison had run off.
"Nah, she must have forgotten." I excused for her.
Jeremy chuckled, then went up the stairs with his buddies to who knows where.
God their house is huge!
I was about to get up and go explore, but Madison came back with Max
and Alex, looking embarrassed until she noticed Jeremy wasn't there
anymore.
"Where did Jeremy go?"
"He ran off with his buddies somewhere."
"Okay, well why don't we head on over to your house now?"
"Fine with me," I said, relieved to get out of their house, for a
reason I couldn't quite place.
It was about a 10 minute ride to my house, and when we got there it
took another 10 minutes for me to find the house key because my bag is
so messy. It's like a the space under a child's bed, you can't find
anything unless you clean the whole thing out. So of course, I had to
dump my whole bag on the driveway, find my keys, which turned out to
be in my pocket, and then put everything back in my bag and unlock the
door. Max, Madison, and Alex where all snickering until I told them to
shut up and gave them each a cookie (I know, so kind of me right?).
Madison and I went up to my room and we threw ourselves on the bed,
because we didn't feel like standing.
We talked for a while about the most random things, then decided it
was time to hit the beach. After changing into our bikinis, we waited
down by the door for Alex and Max to get ready. I swear, it was taking
them longer to get ready than a girl going on her first date.
Finally I couldn't stand it any longer, so I marched upstairs and
opened the door to Alex's room with out bothering to knock. When I
walked in, I saw the reason that they had taken so long.
