Chapter 18.

*Yani's POV*

My face is covered in tears and I can't move my right leg. Kabuto removed the knife with a painful yank. He laughs as he wipes the blood from the knife into my lips.

"You look so pretty with makeup on. Maybe you should wear it more often."

I bite his thumb as he spreads the blood and he grits his teeth.

"You little shit!"

He smacks my face and my cheek stings, he must've used chakra to add more force. I bite my tongue to stop the screams and from saying something I know I'm going to regret. I cry more as I feel the cool knife gently trace the veins on my other wrist.

"Please.... Don't...."

He brings the knife down to his side and pulls out a rag to clean it.

"You're lucky I'm finished... For now anyway."

He smiles and leaves the room.

Kakashi please help me!

*Kakashi's POV*

Shikamaru was unable to come, so it's only Gui, his team and me. I had Pakkun sniff Yani out and we are now following him through the trees.

"Kakashi this girl of yours, is she going to want to touch my paws like these idiots over here?"

TenTen and Rock-Lee have been by Pakkun's side trying to touch his paws.

"If she is in pain then you make here feel better by letting her touch your paws. She does love animals."

"Damn this sucks."

"Gui-sensei can we please touch the talking dog's paws?"

"Not now Rock-Lee we are on a mission."

Everyone is getting on my nerves. Neji is the only one who's company I enjoy right now. Pakkun stops making Rock-Lee almost fall off the branch he was on.

"What is it Pakkun?"

"Her sent stops here."

"Dammit! Neji can you use your Byakugan?"

He nods and activates his Byakugan.

"There is a small hut one hundred meters north. There are two guards in front and ten hiding in the surrounding trees."

"Ok Gui I want you and your team to occupy the guards while I sneak in and have a look around."

"Right!"

We move fast to the location Neji directed is and I hung back to give Gui and his team a head start on distracting the guards. One we were close enough Gui the idiot jumped out of the tree and yelled.

"I'm over here! Come and get me!"

He's such an idiot. Neji must've been thinking the same thing cause he bowed his head and mumbled something under his breathe. He lifts his head and looks over to his teammates.

"TenTen. Lee. Split up and distract the guards for Kakashi-sensei."

They both nod their heads and start getting the guards' attention. I weave through the fighting ninjas as I make my way to the entrance.
