The legacies

My strength, both mentally and physically continued to grow. My telekinetic power got stronger. I think that was when I made the decision to fight, to finally abandon the sanctuary and security of hiding and running and embrace my destiny. But first the other legacies had to come forth. I didn't have to wait long. Unfortunately, a bunch of Mogs experienced the moment as well. I know right, totally trying to steal my thunder!

I was walking along the, taking a break from a run that although it had left me breathless for a while, hadn't really  tired out my body at all! I was just sitting on the sand, dipping my toes in the cold water to wake me up. I felt like something was pulling me towards the water, and the air, and even the fires than glowed from candles in the distance. It was weird but not unpleasant so I ignored it. As I let myself relax, I felt the touch of death. Literally. I slowly shifted my head, and with my inhuman vision, I could make out 5 huge creatures standing behind me. One of them had its blaster pressed against the back of my head. I froze. Glanced back at the house behind me. I willed Elizabeth to stay inside and safe. Then I stood up. I tried for a cocky grin just to annoy them. One swiped at me and missed, another shot me in the foot with his blaster. Or tried to anyway. It was the first time i saw the charm in action. It was pretty freaking awesome actually. He jumped up and down howling as burns and blisters formed all over his foot and it turned the colour of blackened charcoal.

"You're not number 4" he growled.

"Nope" I said, "Sorry to disappoint" I grinned at their anger. Keep them angry, then they make mistakes. As they dawdled over what to do with me, I focused on the tugging i could feel earlier. It got stronger. I looked up at the sky. Maybe it was wishful thinking but I thought I could see clouds forming above us. I kept  staring. One minute later it had turned into a fully fledged storm, lightning crackled overhead and thunder boomed. My first thought was: Yay another Garde to save me. My second thought was: Huh I wish I could control the weather or at least an element. My THIRD though was: HOLY MOTHER OF GOD I AM CONTROLLING THE WEATHER AND THE ELEMENTS OH MY GOD I AM SO EXCITED, Obviously whilst still silent in front of the mogs who wanted to kill me. Obviously. Discreetly, I turned my palms over so that they were facing the sky. Gradually, I felt the sky responding to my jumbled mix of emotions. terror, nerves, adrenaline, desperation and towering above them all: resolve and determination. I would not let them take me. I wouldn't let the others down. I wouldn't let them hurt Elizabeth. I would but this new legacy to good use and I would do Lorien proud.

I visualised what I wanted and with a scream of triumph, chopped my hand viciously down. Bolts of lightning slammed into the damp sand, preventing fires from starting. I struggled to keep control. my resolve strengthened and I swept my hand down again. lightning bolts, crackled through the ground with amazing precision and incinerated all of the mogs before they could even react. I was high on adrenaline and relief but I knew that if they knew I was here, backup won't be far behind. Breathing hard, I ran up the hill to find Elizabeth. We needed to go. Now.
