Chapter 3

I quickly threw away his note...

School was just a blur after a weakening from the sight of Kace.

I can't believe it. My father is somehow in my dreams...is he alive or is he dead? Is Kace good or bad.

Am I good or bad? Later heading back to my white volts wagon in the almost empty parking lot. I drive down the nice town where I live with my sister Alice.

Pulling silently into the drive way, I pull into the huge garage and walk into the huge kitchen where I spend most of my time.

Throwing my purse on the mini fridge built in counter, I walk up and open up the stainless steel fridge and pull out a pitcher of lemonade. Pouring myself a glass.

"Hey J! I didn't know you were home" Say's my sisters husband Damon. I give him a quick nod.

"Yup, just did. I thought you had work today?"

I really liked Damon he was good to my sister Alice. Oh, and after they bought a house together we became good friends.

He replied with a laugh. "Your sister decided to take over today. Not that I approved of it.... How was school?"

"Fine, boring I guess." I replied quickly...I was telling a lie.

I couldn't explain it to anyone. Oh and I hated that them being doctors meaning they were always gone. I was surprised he got off let alone took time off because Alice.

"Mind pouring me a glass" he says sitting down at the marble covered bar, I again smile and nod. Poring him a glass.

I then grabbed my stuff and headed up the spiral stairs and into my mint green and yellow themed bedroom.

I hated that my family had money, really I do. But I don't have anyone to brag to really and I wouldn't anyways.

A few hours later- Jumping into plaid boxers and a tank for bed. I turn off the light I open my window and head to the roof. For years I'd sit up there to think. I felt safe there, like nothing could hurt me.

Though it sounds stupid being on a two story roof and feeling safe, I do.

Siting down on the roof, I listened to the sounds of the night and looked at the dark sky.

"Jayden don't freak but I really need to talk to you." Jumping up I turn to see Kace slightly hidden by the darkness.

I slightly loose my balance from jumping up and find my self being caught by the almost stranger. His arm griped around my waist keeping me from falling.

His touch felt better then it felt in the dreams. It was like pulling me into him.

He then set me down slowly. And took a seat next to me. His dark eyes shined and he looked amazing in the moonlight.

Why am I thinking these things. I should be running from him. Why can't I drive myself into doing it? Then I quickly spoke.

"Please, explain this all. How, why...." Before I could speak again his lips were on mine.

The way his lips on mine felt like magic, no it actually brought sparks. Sparks to my hands. I push back. Afraid from the heat I felt.

"What the hell?"

"Jay... We're soul mates, together were powerful. You see your half fairy....I know it seams unrealistic but it's true. We're from a realm of Gelm. A kingdom where your father once ruled, but after your father fell in love with a human. He had to let me take over... For him to be with your Mom. After your Mom died he had to let you go with your adoptive "sister" Alice. And took back his position as king"

I was lost for words this all made no since. He's crazy....or am I crazy. I feel the tears stinging my eyes...sarcastically and a angrily I spoke "So I'm half fairy, my dads a king, my sisters not my sister and your my ""destiny".

He looks at me with surprise . "How did you know about that? The destiny?"

Then he speaks before I could reply.

"You must come with me back to Gelm your father is in need of you. And so am I." He shows a slight grin and I see theist amazing dimples.

"What's with the sparks?" I ask.

"Your power which is (only for half fairies)granted only by kissing your....your um....Lets just say destiny.

How is it that in one night my night is turned up side down?

"Hurry, we must go through the portal which only works before sunrise."

I nod, "Wait, I say as he grabs my hand, pulling him in through my window I grab my purse, which is where my ruby necklace lays, and I follow him back to the roof.

"How can I trust you?" I ask.

He looks at me and smiles,

"I know your mom called you Jay."

I look up with shock as he pulls me towards his own body and speaks some strange language.

Sparks travel not through just are lips as he again kisses me but are body.

The next thing makes me feel as if I would explode....

Opening my eyes, I'm standing next to Kace in a white dress (just like in my dream) and next to Kace who's also in white. And we're standing in a meadow in front of a huge castle.

He smiles, showing me his dimples again. I feel the sunlight and for once don't feel pain or emptiness.

Then he grabs my hand and bends his head, kneeling.

"Welcome to Gelm, Princess Jayden."

Princess?? "There's no way... "

"There's always a way, Princess"

He says while taking my hand.
