Dear diary

today was my first day at school. It was scary moving to Manaparpo. We come from Napa it is amazing there. The soft sand the sparkling sea the beautiful sea creatures and land animals. And here dark sky, green water, poor people living on the street. Who would want to live here it's discussing. Anyway Mother gave me a couple of penny's to spend at the goody shop.

I got 2 chocolate bars one for me and one for my younger sister Teresa. She is such a pane in the butt. I got some poppy corn, salty flavour and gave all my penny's to the man at the desk. I was walking home and I heard some thing
"Hold you horses, potato" a young man said
" a potato, what are you trying to say" I replied
"Wait they are potatoes right" he said scared
"No silly this is poppy corn, come with me I'll give you some at home" " I say skipping away
He tries to keep up but his meatless legs couldn't.
" we are almost there. We can walk" I say pointing where my house is
His legs carry him the rest of the way home.  He can hardly even talk he is so unhealthy.

Finally we got home. I hit my fist hard on the old wooden door at the front of our 4 roomed house. As he tumbles down on the ground the door flys open.
"Mother may we let this young boy stay for the day he is very sick and may not live long on the streets" I ask with my hands glued together.
" of course come on in you two" Mother replies holding the door open.
He picks him self off of the ground and walks up the sturdy stairs.

The young man gets along with Father very well. He has been feed and had a nice cold bath in the tile room( that's the bath room) Mother and Father both agreed he could stay the night for safety and care. He sleeping on the old couch in the living room(the living room is where the couches are for them)
Well dairy it's bed time good night

Meredith xoxo
