(Taylor’s POV)

I wake up smiling, thinking about last night. Everything was so perfect. My phone buzzes, interrupting me from my thoughts. My smile grows when I see it’s a text from Luke.

From: Luke

Good morning, beautiful :) beach day! Get ready we’ll be there to pick you in half an hour

I blush at his compliment and type my reply

To: Luke

Hello, beach sounds awesome see you soon :)

I throw the covers off of me and yank open my bathing suit drawer. I lie out my bathing suit and begin my morning routine. After brushing my teeth and washing my face, I walk over to my mirror to fix my face. I unbraid my hair and my brown waves fall over my shoulder. I apply foundation and waterproof mascara, slip on my bathing suit and put on clothes to cover it. I hear a honk from outside the house and look out my window. Luke’s car is parked out front and whoever is behind the wheel is incessantly honking the damn horn. I step into my flip-flops, grab my phone, take one last glance in the mirror and head out.

One of my annoying friends is still honking and I feel as if all of the neighbors’ eyes on me.

I step in the car and slam the door shut. The sound doesn’t capturing the attention of the boys as the driver, who I discover to be Michael, keeps beeping at me.

“MICHAEL STOP WITH THE FUCKING HORN YOU’LL UPSET THE NEIGHBORS. I’M IN THE CAR!” I scream and Michael stops honking, the boys all turn their heads to me, finally noticing my presence.

“Taylor, when did you get in the car?” Michael asks, cheeks slightly pink from my yelling at him.

“About 300 honks ago” I tease and the boys laugh

“Amanda is coming right?” I ask

“Yeah, we’re on our way to get her now” Ashton replies

I feel a hand on my thigh; I turn my head and see Luke smiling at me.

“Hello” he smiles

“Hello” I smile back

We pull up to Amanda’s house and I see Michael reach for the horn

“Mike, don’t even think about it” I warn and his hand slowly backs away. I text Amanda to tell her we’re here and moments later she comes out of her front door and makes her way to the car

Amanda opens the door and her face drops into a frown. “Uh, where do I sit?” the car is completely full; Michael in the driver’s seat, Ashton in the passenger seat and Calum, Luke and I occupying the back seats.
