Forgotten

chapter 10

“ See this isn’t so terrifying now is it,” Damon replied , gesturing around the mall.

“ Whatever,” I said pouting.

“ Your still mad I see,” he said slightly amused.

“ I would have rather stayed at home,” I snapped.

“ What girl doesn’t love shopping ? Damon asked.

“ Its not the shopping I hate, it’s the idea of flesh eaters running around that makes me nervous,” I whispered.

“ Like a said, I’ll protect you. Besides, even flesh eaters aren’t stupid enough to attack someone in a mall full of people,” he whispered back smugly.

“ Whatever,” I sighed.

“ I’ll be right back,” Damon promised.

“ Just go on, I’ll be fine,” I said sitting down on a bench.

“ Are you sure you don’t want to come in with me?” he asked.

“ I’m not fond of sports, so yes I’m sure,” I said firmly.

“ I’ll only be a minute,” he said .

I watched him enter the store . I had finally calmed down enough to enjoy myself some. They had an amazing book store. I could have spent hours in that book store . I settled into that daydream when I could have swore I could feel someone staring at me.

I looked up and there was a guy staring right at me. He was cute, he had shaggy blonde hair and baby blue eyes. He looked to be a little shorter than Damon though he was just as muscular.

I quickly adverted my gaze. I tucked a loose strand of hair behind my ear. I hoped that the guy who was staring had left. I snuck a quick peak and to my relief he was gone.

“ Hi,” I suddenly heard a voice saw near my left shoulder.

I turned around and there was that blond haired guy. He was staring at me with a big smile and a hungry look in his eye.

“ Hi,” I stammered.

“ I’m Alex. What’s your name beautiful?” he asked.

“ Serena,” I replied kind of breathless.

His voice was almost hypnotic, like I could listen to him talk for hours. I shook my head trying to shake this weird feeling.

“ You must be new around here,” he said still staring straight into my green eyes.

“ Yes I am,” I managed to get out.

“ Get away from her,” I suddenly heard a voice growl.

The next thing I know I was behind Damon. I managed to peek around Damon to see Alex glaring at Damon in disgust.

“ I didn’t realize she belonged to a wolf,” Alex said frowning.

“ You better leave,’ Damon said, practically growling.

“ It’s a public place. Besides you have something I want,” he said looking over at me.

“ She’s mine,” Damon growled.

“ For now, but she will be mine,” he replied arrogantly.

“ Why you,” Damon said starting to take a step closer.

“ Until then my sweet Serena,’ Alex said softly.

Then he left. Damon was breathing hard and I could tell that he was furious. I gently put my hand on his shoulder. I had no clue what was going on. Was Alex another werewolf.

“ Damon?” I said softly.

He turned around slowly and gently grabbed my hand and kissed it.

“ I hope I didn’t scare you,” he said softly.

“ No , I’m fine. Is Alex another werewolf?” I asked him.

“ Serena, Alex isn’t a werewolf, he’s a flesh eater.” Damon said softly.
