Walking into the living room I see Damon and his parents sitting on our old couch. As soon as I walk in Damon stands up and gives me a smug smile. Pretending I didn't notice I turn to my parents. I notice their holding hands.

" You've grown more beautiful since the last time we saw you," murmurs Damon's mother sofly.

" That's my princess," my dad replies with pride.

" Would you like to it down," says another voice.

I look over to see Damon standing by the blue loveseat . I glance over at my parents to find both of them waiting for me to sit. I sat down as far away from him as the loveseat allowed not wanting his skin to touch mine. As if reading my thoughts Damen scooted closer so that our arms were touching. Before I could repostion myself, our parents excused themselves to the dining room.

" Damon come with us for a second please," his father said.

I watched as everyone left to go to the dining room. Damon give me another look, one I didn't like at all. It was a hungry look almost like one a wolf makes when staring at its prey. I shivered. It brought back the memory of what Damon promised me what I was 10 and he was twelve.

It was raining and I was splashing around in my rainboots. The new purple ones I had been begging for. I wasn't paying attention to anything else. I was playing a make believe game where I was a princess who was lost and trying to find her way back to the castle. Suddenly I came across something solid. Blinking I look up and there was Damon.

I managed to stammer an sorry but before I could leave he grabbed both my hands firmly in his.

" In your own world again beautiful Serena," he told me softly.

" I happen to like my world," I tell him bluntly.

"Of course you do," he said softly looking at me thoughfully.

I stared at him from under my raincoat. Before I could pull away he pressed my hand to his cheek. Startled I just looked at him.

" My Serena, you'll be mine someday I promise you that. And when you are you won't have any need to daydream ," he told me softly his brown eyes never leaving my green ones.

A noise from the kitchen brings me back to reality. Looking up I suddenly realize I hadn't been alone like I had thought. Damon was standing in front of me. He seemed to be amused, his lips in that smirk that I hated.

" Still daydreaming I see," he says grinning at me .

" Helps pass the time," I tell him.

" You won't be needing to daydream for a while then because I plan on keeping you extremely busy," he tells me his brown eyes spelled out trouble.

I gulped wondering if he was being serious. Judging from his hungry  looks he was. I nervously pulled at my white dress wishing I had worn a sweater and jeans. While I was in thought I felt Damon's arm around me and his face inches from mine. My heart started beating quicker and I felt dizzy. He smelled amazing, sort of like sunshine and earth.

And then his lips were on mine. Instead of fighting back I leaned closer pulling him to me. It was like my body wasn't on speaking terms with my brain. His lips were the last things I remembered before it went dark.
