I was at a loss for words at the moment. How could this be happening? Why was he in my dream? I was so confused that I was frozen in place like a statue.

"Sarah, sweetie what's wrong?" I heard Damien ask, but it was like it was up in the clouds somewhere and not right next to me "Sarah" he called standing in front of me

I blinked a couple of times "Huh, what happened?"

"You completely froze up when you met Gabriel, are you sure you're ok?"

I nodded my head "Yes, babe I'm fine just a little jet lag that's all" I said with a half smile

He didn't look convinced but he let it go. We walked into the kitchen and the cooking staff bowed their heads and Damien and I returned it. I sat down on the stool and one of the ladies that were working handing me a cup. I looked inside the cup and it looked like coffee. I took a drink of it and it made me feel so much better. I could feel Damien staring at me, but all I did was drink my coffee

"Sarah, are you sure that you're ok?" he asked

I sighed and continued to stare down at my cup "I can't tell you right now" I said looking up to see if any of the staff were eavesdropping

"Ok, then we'll talk in my fathers study room" he stood up from the chair and reaching out his hand

I looked at his hand then took it firmly into mine. He walked me down a hall that had a wall full of pictures. I slowed down a bit looking at each of the pictures till one truly caught my attention, so much so that I had to stop. Damien felt me stop and looked to see what I was looking at

"She's beautiful" I said staring at the woman in the large portrait. She had black raven hair that went past her shoulders and down to her waist. Her eyes were piercing blue like the deep blue sea. She had lips as red as blood and skin so pale she didn't look like she was healthy, but that didn't matter she was still extremely captivating.

"Yea that's my aunt, she was probably the best ruler of this realm because she was likable and had a heart of gold" he said talking with a far off voice

"What happened to her?"

He quickly looked at me "Nobody knows, we don't know if she's dead or missing or what. It's just one day she vanished" he answered with a long sigh

"You must have really loved her" I put my hand on his shoulder

He looked me in the eyes and nodded "Yea, she tried to teach me everything good about people and vampires" He sighed then turned away from the picture, walking down the hall.

I looked at the picture one more time then continued to follow Damien to the study. Once we reached it Damien opened the door and walked inside. I walked in and closed the door behind me, then looked around the well managed office. It was rustic with a wooden desk in the back of the room in front of a large window, a soft rug in the middle of the room with a fire place to the right of the rug and a black colored couch in front of the fire place. Damien lit the fire and sat on the rug, he looked at me and motioned for me to sit with him. I walked over to the spot on the floor next to him and sat down.

"Now, tell me what's the matter"

I sighed and put my head on his shoulder "It's just this nightmare is really getting to me" I said

He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me in between his legs and cuddled up to him "It's gonna be ok Sarah, I won't let anyone or anything hurt you"

"Thanks babe, can I ask a weird question?"

"When it's coming from you they're all weird"I smacked him in the arm as he chuckled
