My mouth was probably gaping like a fish but I just couldn't believe what Joshua just said. He, the popular guy in school that did well in all the classes, liked me?
I didn't know how to react. I never had anyone like me before. Okay, maybe once, but that boy never had the courage to come up to me even though the entire class practically knew about it. Anyway, I just didn't know what to do. Reply him and tell him my feelings? Hug and kiss him like in movies?
I decided to just be me.
"I like you too," I smiled, awkwardly looking to the ground because I was so embarrassed.
Joshua let out a laugh of disbelief and the next thing he did shocked me completely. He swept me off my feet and spun me around in front of everyone, cheering at the same time. "Kristen Faye is my girlfriend!"
I giggled at his dorkiness. His smile just wanted to make me explode with joy. This boy, like a sunflower, was so bright and just so happy but he was also like a rose, so romantic and full of love.
When Joshua put me down onto the floor, I was smiling so widely I was scared that he would be put off. Instead, he pinched my cheeks and placed a peck on one of my cheeks. "Your smile is adorable, Kristen," he said.
I smiled shyly as I hesitantly grabbed his hands and swung them lightly in front of us. "So is yours."
A/N Hi so this is quite a short chapter because the previous one was so long. I hope you guys enjoyed it :)
