"Will you please explain how did you find our home and why would you be here in this late hour, young man?" Travis Mason crosses his arms. Travis Mason. The mogul that owns一well, basically most of the establishments and companies all around the world is talking to me.

He's my fucking idol. I'm speechless at seeing him after what just happened. I was so focused on what was happening with Buttercup that I completely disregarded that I was at Travis Mason's home.

"I一uh," I can't say anything at all.

Scott appears at the other doorway of the living room. Damn, I just noticed how this house is so big and bright.

He walks up to Mr. Mason and places a hand on his shoulder. Mr. Mason turns to him, a thin line plastered on his face like the time I came in the house.

"She's passed out at Tracie's room," He informs him. Are they talking about Buttercup? "Tracie wanted to be with her. We all know she's the only one in the house that can really calm her so she's一"

"It's fine, Scott," Mr. Mason interrupts, a small smile appearing on his face. "Tell Jones to be keeping an eye on her at all times. You don't get to say anything to anyone, all right?"

Scott nods. He looks like he's agreeing with him without a question. Then his eyes snaps to me, that serious pissed off look he had at me when I was about to punch his brother was back again. "You're Nick Hale's cousin?"

I hum in response.

"How'd you know?" Mr. Mason questions.

Nick is my twenty-seven year old cousin. He's married with someone whom I never met. We're close but since the marriage and his own family, we barely get to see each other so we call.

I told him about Buttercup and her current boyfriend 一 Barry Mason. He just told me that he's Mr. Mason's son and I guess I decided to came here because I should apologize to Barry for being aggressive. It isn't because I know his dad could ruin my life but because I'm not like that. I didn't know what came through me

I still love her. That's the honest-to-God truth. But I know that she's not going to love me anymore because I left her. I wasn't there for her when she was having all of these panic attacks and flashbacks. It's all my fault.

I promised to protect her and I didn't.
