I don't know if you know the absolute horror of U-Pick. Thousands of blueberries, pulled from their families, to become great things. But I... I will never be great. I will never be picked. I probably taste sour and unappetizing! All my fellow blueberries will be gone, and it will just be me, Booberry, never to become great.

The next morning, we were given the daily drench of sweet water, and then we saw him. An old man. Everyone except me cheered! They were finally going to become something great! The old man came to our bush. He lunged at the Blue Wonders, the group of blueberries on the upper branch that were close to breaking the Farm Record of largest blueberries ever. Hannahberry, Jakeberry, Davidberry, and other fat blueberries all fell into the old man's enormous plastic bucket. I knew I would never see them again.

Day after day, my bush and the bushes around me were stripped of blueberries. My friends, my family, all taken away before my eyes. They were cheering, anxious to become something delicious, as I sat there in hopelessness. Will I ever be picked?
