Miraculous Ladybug: Civil War

Prologue

Hawkmoth was laughing to himself.

He always wanted his akuma to be the result of the downfall of Ladybug and Chat Noir, but he could never anticipate how badly that girl would destroy them. Not physically, no- the two superheroes of Paris were fighting each other now.

It hadn't started out like that, though. It had started small. After Ladybug had set Lila free from Hawkmoth's akuma, Chat had comforted her from the newer girl's hurtful words.

The next day, he confronted Ladybug about her treatment of the girl. It ended in a screaming match.

The day after that, they skipped on patrol with each other.

A week after their fight, another akuma attacked and they were out of sync with each other. Ladybug got hit multiple times, and they barely spoke. They were no longer patrolling with each other, doing it on different days- both still wished to protect Paris from akumas.

Hawkmoth only had to send out a total of two akuma to send them flying at each other. When the second one was cleansed, they got into another fight at the prodding of that reporter for the Ladyblog- Alya. She had just been asking them simple questions- "Why are you guys so tense?", "How come you don't talk anymore?", "Why aren't you protecting Ladybug anymore, Chat Noir?". The questions set them off- they started insulting each other, still hurling foul words at each other as they retreated to opposite ends of the city when their miraculouses began to beep.

Now, Hawkmoth mainly sent out akumas for surveillance on the heroes, occasionally akumatizing people to force them to face each other- it was only a matter of time before they tore each other apart.

So the purple clad villain just decided to bide his time, laughing as the two heroes he had tried to defeat for so long were doing it for him.

Master Fu was worried.

When Chat Noir and Ladybug started fighting each other, he was concerned. He wanted them to use their miraculous for good, but now they were at each other throats. His paternal instincts made him want to protect the kids, to get them to stop fighting.

But as they say, kids will be kids- and in his old age, he wasn't in any shape to teach them a lesson. All he could do was hand out the remaining miraculouses he had left in his possession and hope the teens would come to a peaceful agreement on their own.

The comb of Queen Bee went to Chloe Bourgeois, who had changed drastically during the time her idol began to spar with her partner. Master Fu considered her worthy of that miraculous now. Alya Cesaire recieved the true necklace for Volpina- she had always been worthy, but there was no need for her before. The last miraculous he had in his possession was one he didn't wish to part with- his miraculous. But after a tearful goodbye with Wayzz, Master Fu talked to Nino about the duties of the holder of the turtle miraculous, the guardian of all the miraculous. Hesitantly, Nino had agreed.

So now Master Fu was worried beyond all belief- the last time there was a fight like this between the users, no one came out alive.

But he still had hope that things would play out differently this time.

Soon after Master Fu officially retired, other miraculous users began to pop up all over- and ultimately converged in Paris.

Their kwami's assured them that Hawkmoth was only after Ladybug's and Chat Noir's miraculouses- that they didn't have to worry about losing theirs. What they did have to worry about was Ladybug and Chat Noir tearing each other- and Paris- apart.

Initially, the kwami's thought their chosen would step in and stop the fight. But when all the miraculous users were unknowingly in simple school discussion together, sides were chosen, and the war began.
