Time flew since the last time I saw Alex and Mr. Vortex. I smiled softly, melting into the bathtub I had created for myself. It was the day I dreaded but dreamed about.
The Masquerade. I felt my heart pound put of my chest, as I finished cleansing myself, and draped a towel over my shoulders.
Once the door had opened, I glanced at my clock, saying I had at least 3 hours to get ready. I smiled, and did what no one planned to see me do.
---Time skip 3 hours---
The masquerade had just begun, people crowed in the ball room, masks covering their true identity's. As I walked in, everyone looked upon me with amazement, though no one knew who I was.
A man of my age stood in front of me, bowing he held out his hand. "May I have this dance?" His husky voice filled my head. "U-uh d-do I know you?" I questioned. "You'll find out at midnight."
I hesitantly accepted his hand, he pulled me close, inches away from my face. "You look stunning tonight.." He huskily whispered in my ear.
I blushed and smiled, "Hope your not drunk.. I wouldn't want my first kiss to go to waste." I whispered softly, putting my hand upon his face. "I wouldn't have the guts to talk to you if I was drunk."
I laughed out softly, as he leaned down, his lips crashed into mine, as I responded, our lips moving in sync. After a while I pulled away, placing my head on his shoulder.
"Who are you....under that mask?" He questioned. "I'm a girl trying to fit into life....the only way my father taught me to..." I whispered, swaying with him as we talked.
I could feel him move my chin up, and look at me. "Your really amazing... You manage to surprise me...besides...I'm going through the same issue."
"Can I get you something to drink?" I asked brightly. "Some water will do." He responded.
I went to get our drinks, and as soon as I returned, I dropped the wine and water in my hand.
He was whisking another girl away, kissing her.
