Ezra's POV
"Are you in position?" The Seventh Sister asked over the com.
"Yes. Ready when you are," I replied.
We were getting ready to break into the records building. There wasn't much security. The Seventh Sister didn't seem all that concerned by that, but I couldn't shake a feeling something was wrong.
"You have an opening. Go in now," the Seventh Sister said.
The Seventh Sister was on guard duty at the moment, tracking the guards movements. The plan was for her to tell me when I had a chance to get in. Then, I would jump the fence and enter the building and find out whatever I could.
"I'm going in," I said as I took a running start to the fence.
The fence was high enough no average person could just jump over it. But, lucky me, I had the Force that I could tap into to give me superhuman abilities. That came in handy on more then one occasion.
As I sailed over the fence, I caught a glimpse of the inside of the building through one of the windows. It was dark so I couldn't see much, but I hoped nothing was hiding in that darkness.
I landed on the ground and quickly sprinted to the side of the building. I looked both ways before smoothly unsheathing my humming lightsaber and jamming it into the side of the building.
Quickly, trying to be as quietly as possible, I made a hole big enough that I could slip through. Just as I finished my hole, I caught the falling wall with the Force and gently set it on the dry ground.
I entered through my hole and entered the heated space that was the records building. I turned and used the Force to put the part of the wall I had taken out back in. I did not want my presence to be known by someone feeling a chill.
Once I had completed, my instincts from my days of stealing kicked in. I sleathly slid against the wall. I attempted to look for a light or something that I could investigate, but to no avail.
I had only made it about fifty meters from the spot I had started from when I stopped and realized something.
This was a records building. It was supposed to be filled with records. And yet, why were the walls bare? Why were there no lights from datapads or datascreens? How was it that I was sneaking around so easily?
I was fully ready to believe my suspicions, but I didn't want to be wrong. So, to test my theory, I grabbed a screw I had on me. I crouched down very slowly, and threw the screw as far as I could.
In my crouching position, I was ready to either run or fight, but I realized as the screw hit the floor, and resonated loudy, the room was empty. It was an empty building!
There were no records! That would explain the minimal security for the place.
I stood up, reaching for my com to tell the Seventh Sister, but she spoke first.
"Ezra, get out of there!" The Seventh Sister said in a raised whisper.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Imperials! They are here! And coming straight towards the record building!" The Seventh Sister quickly explained.
I ran to my hole in the wall as fast as I could, but just as I was about to push open the hole, the Seventh Sister came over on the com.
"You're too late!" She said.
Just then, the doors to the building sudden opened, filling the room with dim light from outside. But that light was quickly blocked as stormtroopers starting marching through the door.
I turned to my hole, and with a burst of energy from the Force, threw the piece of wall I had cut out at the troopers.
I ignited my lightsaber, but just as I was about to exited the building, it was quickly blocked by stormtroopers surrounding the outside of the building.
"Karabast," I muttered to myself.
"Get him!" A stormtrooper yelled out.
I turned just in time to hear the room fill with the echoes of blaster fire. I attempted to block them with my lightsaber, but a blast from the troopers outside hit me, and everything went black.
