The Seventh Sister's POV
I watched as the stormtroopers dragged an unconscious Ezra onto one of their ships. There were too many troopers for me to heroically swoop down and save my colleague.
As I watched the Empire's ships take off, I ran through the streets of the town, back to the Phantom.
I sat down in the pilot's seat, panting. No doubt the mysterious red blade had set this up. How did this person seem to know our every move?I slammed my fist down on the control panel in frustration. How were we supposed to beat this person if we were always stopped by them?
"How am I supposed to get Ezra back?" I muttered to myself.
I plopped down on the pilot's seat, pondering my options.
I couldn't just go in, lightsabers blazing to save Ezra. I wasn't like the rebels. I didn't have a team to back me up. I didn't have a cause to work for, to keep me going.
I was only the Seventh Sister, and I was alone.
The closest friend I had ever had was Ezra. The Fifth Brother, Agent Kallus, they were all colleagues. People I had worked with to accomplish a belief I had been told since I could remember.
But then, I was forced to leave all of that behind. Forced because of a rivalry between colleagues.
Ezra was the only true person who had ever helped me in life, shown me something else. And, although I hate to admit it, Ezra has changed me. Me being in solitude has forced me to reflect on our brief time together.
He had an undying faith in his friends, his crew. He also had developed an undying faith towards me. And I, too, had developed an undying faith towards him.
And with that thought, I knew what I had to do.
I turned in my seat and pressed a button on the control console. After a few moments, I heard a voice.
"Ezra?" Sabine asked.
"No, it's me," I said calmly.
Okay, okay. Time for an author's note.
If you don't care for author's notes, just skip this, but I warn you, there is important information in here.
Okay, so, I know I have been neglecting to update lately, and I'm sorry! You are probably thinking I am crazy for not updating just because I have done a lot in the past.
You might also think I am crazy because I NEVER put an author's note at the end of my chapters.
But that's not important.
What is is that I have been coming up with an update schedule lately that I am sure you will all be happy to hear about.
First thing, so, I do not believe a lot of you read my little news/personal/tag book, Me, Myself, and I. That's okay, but in my latest chapter of it, I explained a lot of stuff I am explaining now.
Anyway, because I have not been updating as I should have these last couple months, I am writing every single last chapter of this book, After, and my other book, The Fault of Family, and I will be posting all of those chapters within a twenty-four hour span. I do not know what day exactly that will happen, but I will try my hardest to get them up by August 31.
Once those books are complete, I will have no others books, other than quote books, to work on.
This next news is pretty exciting so prepare yourself.
